Like in the ‘days of old’ FASTRAK brings something back to its founder’s hometown of Hartwell GA. The fast growing late model sanctioning group will treat race fans and Hartwell citizens to the first ever “Fourth of July Parade Of Late Models.”

After holding a driver autograph session at Hartwell’s McDonalds, from 1:00 – 3:00PM on the Fourth of July, the high powered FASTRAK Late Models will proceed in “parade” fashion through the city of Hartwell GA, along US Highway 29.

Remember the days when a racing series would come to a local track and the cars would be displayed everywhere in town?

Then as they readied themselves for the race event, the cars would parade through town on the open trailers, leading everyone to the local track.

Well history is about to be repeated in the city of Hartwell. Not only will history be made as the cars roll right through the streets of down town Hartwell, but again that night as Hartwell Speedway host its first ever FASTRAK Racing Series event.

“I think it’s a great idea,” stated Hartwell Police Chief Cecil Reno. “I think anything, with the economy the way it is now, anything that will draw people to our city is great and racing has been with this community for a long time.”

Not on trailers, not on or in their beautiful haulers, but on the streets, rumbling pure racing horsepower from the city limit signs to downtown marquees.

Moving approximately 1 mile through the city, escorted by local Hartwell GA police patrols, the race cars will move from McDonalds to the Bells parking lot.

The FASTRAK Late Models will immediately be followed through the streets by the race haulers, as they parade themselves along in this hopefully annual event.

Sure to be a ‘site to see’ this parade down US Highway 29 is destined to be remembered as historic, on this 4th of July weekend.

“What an incredible opportunity for the fans in the area and all the race teams,” stated FASTRAK Founder and north Georgia native, Stan Lester. “I have wanted to do this since we started this business in 2003. I am so proud that in the entire United States, my home town of Hartwell is the first to do this. I am really excited, anticipating the sight of those dirt late models parading through town.”

Hartwell Speedway owner, Marty Lance had this to say about FASTRAK’s Late Model Parade. “I believe this will be bigger than our Carolina Clash event or even Ray Cook’s Southern National’s Tour visit. We’re ready and hope to impress the community.”

The FASTRAK dirt late model racing series is based in nearby Carnesville GA. In only its sixth year of business, FASTRAK has become a formidable force in the nation by becoming the “WORLDS FASTEST GROWING RACING SERIES.”

“We hope the race fans and even non-race fans alike, will come out and support the entire event. From the autograph session at McDonalds to the parade and then on to Hartwell Speedway and the nights huge fireworks show. Fastrak wants the people in this area to know this is their racing series. This company may be based in Carnesville, GA, but the support of local tracks, racers and the fans have helped make us one of the largest auto racing sanctioning bodies in the country.” Lester continued. “We want the fans to be proud of us. We want them to know we appreciate them and we would love to have their support for their racing series.”

After the historic parade, Marty Lance’s Hartwell Speedway will roar to life with a night of exciting racing and fireworks that are sure to keep the fans talking for days to come. Grandstand admission will be only $15 with a FASTRAK $5-OFF Coupon.

Fans will find these special coupons at many Hart and Franklin County business locations. Also race fans are reminded to listen to Lake Hartwell radio, WLHR-92.1FM for the latest information on what’s happening at the track this Holiday weekend.
