Fastrak Points Explanation

Here we go and I hope this helps you guys. I apologize for not answering sooner. I have been on the road.

Weekly and Regional Touring Points System as usual.
25,24,23,22,21,20 etc and always 1 point for attempting to qualify.

Weekly Points funds paid by the tracks. (We supply revenue to the track for that purpose. It actually costs them nothing).

State Championships and Regional Touring Championships supplied by the Series. (These are decided by total points throughout the year.

Weekly going for State and Touring going for Regional. Weekly is the best 18 races. Touring is the best of all events. All weekly and Regional Points end Oct 1st.

You sign up for either weekly, touring or both. If you sign up for both then you receive points for both. Not accumulating points but points scored for each. They will not be added together. For instance if you finished 1st in your Touring Region and 3rd at your weekly track then obviously you would want to take the points for 1st to the Nationals. Then we move the car up that finished 4th at your weekly track and he comes in with 3rd place points. This gives you two chances to gather points and helps the guys that finish behind you as well.

You only have to participate in 51% of the races in either to qualify for the Nationals. For instance if you have 20 races at your weekly sanctioned track then you only have to participate in 11 to qualify for the Nationals. If you only have 14 races in your Regional Touring Series you only have to participate in 8 of those to qualify for the Nationals. You must be a Fastrak Member to race in the Nationals. Heck you could run 8 races then park your car until the Nationals in this case.

National Championship supplied by the Series

National Points Awards:

If you win your local weekly sanctioned track championship or you touring region here are the points you bring with you to the Nationals.

1st: 3 points
2nd: 2 points
3rd: 1 Point
all drivers with 51% of the races 1 point
Loyalty Bonus: any driver that runs 100% of their races either locally or Touring will receive 2 additional points for loyalty.

So the most you can come into the Championship is 5. The least amount is 1.

The Championship will be scored by points everyday.

Qualify, heats and race.

The team with the best points throughout the 3 day period will be declared the National Champion.

So the team that wins the race may not be the team that wins the National Championship. It rewards consistency and also allows you to run for a National Championship and only travel one time a year. ONE TIME A YEAR!!

I know people are used to other systems. All we ask is that you really think about it. I am not going to compare our points system against others. I refuse to talk bad about other series. Please don't try and pul me into that conversation. I just won't respond to it period. Just think about it. Is this system fair? I think so. You don't have to go anywhere to gain points during the week so you can stay right at home, run one night a week and have just as good a chance as the next guy to carry the maximum number of points into the Nationals. Our mission here is to save you money. Fuel has gone up. How well we know. You guys carry one car and trailer. I carry five to the race. I know the expense of it. Hopefully by this system not only will it qualify you for the Nationals but also cut your expense. Thats winning on both sides of the deal. Also with this system it should allow you to go and do some other racing with other series or tracks. I mean you only have to race 51% to qualify. Think about it. You could race 7 Regional races and park your car for the rest of the year. Then you come to the Nationals.

I know some people will love this and some will probaby not. I understand that. If you want to go run for whatever then this is America and that is your choice. People died for that freedom and I support that 100%. All I can tell you is that the Fastrak weekend has a possibility of being over $500,000.00, National TV coverage and don't forget the very big surprise!!

We hope to see you there.

And the 5 (possible) points that you earned thru the year is then added to your points your earned during your 3 day points total on your Championship weekend. Right or wrong.

Yes. Racers will start the Nationals with a maximum of five points based on their performance in weekly or regional racing over the course of the season.
