FASTRAK taking a stand on tire treatments!

Noticed an addition to the FASTRAK tire rules as follows:

SOFTENING, CONDITIONING, NEEDELING OF TIRES ARE ILLEGAL!

$10,000.00 fine, loss of points, cannot compete for ANY Championship monies for competitor.

$10,000.00 fine, loss of points, cannot compete for ANY Championship monies for car owner.

Originating Source of tire treatment WILL BE turned over to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

FASTRAK reserves the right to bring in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Competitor and all parties involved may be prosecuted by EPA within Federal Law! **All parties agree to a “hold harmless” agreement under the above terms and of ALL FASTRAK rules by participating in or at a FASTRAK event.

I would say they are serious about keeping it out of their series!

Will it work? Seems like a high price to pay if you get caught!

Is the possible advantage from the treatments worth the price if you get caught?

Are the chemicals in all treatments illegal in the Fed's (EPA) eyes?

Will other series follow this example?

What are your thoughts.....?

Like Dirt hound said.If you get caught with cheated up tired, your gone for life. Its great to see them stepping up .

Will hurt the sales of used tires. Just think if a low budget team buys good used tires from a cheating team and then gets caught!!! I would think Hoosier would jump on board and support it. Increase in new tire sales!!!LOL
