Fayette County Speedway 2010 Season Information

BROWNSTOWN, IL – Charlie Depew, Fayette County Speedway promoter, recently announced the track is reopening after a 3-year hiatus! Fayette County Speedway is a high-banked, large 1/4-mile dirt oval located on the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Brownstown, IL.

The Season Opener is scheduled for April 2 (weather permitting). The 2010 Schedule includes racing programs most Friday evenings April through August. Additional events may be added to the schedule in coming weeks.

For all 2010 Regular Events, pit and grandstand gates will open at 5:00 p.m., the nightly hot laps session will begin at 7:00 p.m., with racing immediately following hot laps. Weekly events will feature UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Hornets, and the 2-man Team Car division. Highlights of the 2010 schedule include:

April 16 Regular Racing with Hornet Division $300 to win
April 23 Regular Racing plus Powder Puff
April 30 Special Show * – American Modified Series (UMP sanctioned event): Modifieds $1,500 to win, $200 to start. Also racing, Street Stocks, Hornets, and Team Cars.
May 14 Special Show * – American Sprint Car Tour (ASCT): Non-winged sprints $1,000 to win, $200 to start. Also racing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Hornets, and Team Cars. (special pricing)
May 21 Regular Racing plus Powder Puff
May 28 Regular Racing with Street Stock Division $1,000 to win
May 30 Special SUNDAY Show * – American Sprint Car Tour (ASCT) presents The Battle At Brownstown! Non-winged sprints: $1,200 to win, $225 to start, guaranteed tow money! Also racing UMP Modifieds: $700 to win, $75 to start. Hornets: $400 to win, $40 to start. Team Cars $100 to win, $30 to start. (special pricing)
June 4 Special Show * – American Modified Series (UMP sanctioned event): Modifieds $1,500 to win, $200 to start. Also racing, Street Stocks, Hornets, and Team Cars. (special pricing)
June 25 Regular Racing plus Powder Puff
July 16 NO RACES – Fayette County Fair in progress
August 20 Regular Racing plus Powder Puff
