I was told that Fayette County Speedway is taking bids to open the track for next year racing...Just letting people know if they are interested in bidding or racing there next year...
 
hope to see this track open again. that is a good track that would be one of my weekly track to make a visit. hope they run the super late models.
 
Yes, I believe Charlie did get the track again. Hopefully Charlie and Fayette County have a good year. That's a fun place to watch a race.
 
I absolutely love Brownstown but I'm disappointed to hear that Charlie got the track again. I'm surprised the board accepted his bid considering he was running the track when it failed. I really hope it works this go-around. would be neat if it pulled a summer nationals/nalms/monster midwest show.
 
I don't live in Brownstown anymore, but I think this will be a great thing for the drivers in that area and for Fayette County in general. The track always brings revenue into the area. It sounds like there is a TON of interest ... best of luck to Charlie - and the drivers - in 2010!!
 
Will they run Sportsman if they reopen? It would be nice if the highland guys had more than one track to race at every week. What day do they plan on running? Sunday would be smart as no other track is running.
 
Well if your dissapointed that charlie got it than maybe you should of put a bid in to promote the track. At least charlie know how to operate the track and it is opening again.
 
I think that he will run modifieds, street stocks and hornets, and rumor has it that he may even run team cars again. I would venture to say that he will run friday nights also.
 
truth is the track did not fail when charlie had it,he could not come to terms with the fair board...would love to see the track run sundays but my bet is fridays,,any way,, happy freakin new year
 
Lenny, You forgot to lobby for your Sportsman with a Bert and a QC. Or was it leaf springs and a rack.

People say I'm getting crankier as I get older. That's not it. I just find I enjoy annoying people a lot more now. Especially younger people!!!
 
took the brinn out and installed a powerglide with a 10 in converter,not a lot of difference...well,its nappy time for this old guy,,,one more this,2010 is not the start of a new decade,its the end of one,2011 is the start
 
Given all the tracks that have closed up shop over the last several years, it's nice to hear of a track opening. It was a shame seeing that track essentialy go to waste--although they did have periodic motorcycle races--especially since they put in the new grandstand.
