Last night Charlie had a $1000 to win mod show,,,,,,track was very racey,,,,,but only a handful of mods showed up....I don't know, maybe 15 or so. Why don't mods support bigger money races anymore? One of the fastest tracks in the area, but no participation? There were some good guns there but kinda disapointing for no more cars,,,,Anyway congrats to Mevert on the win.

I was wondering the same thing. We went up there last nite to race for the first time since 04 and the track was great. There was 3 wide racing and the drivers raced really clean. The 27 the 3d and i think the 16 ran side by side for alot
laps and i dont think they ever touched. If someone got hit and spun, they put the car that hit them to the rear and the car that got hit got his spot back. The show ran quick, and the food was good. We plan on making the trip again next week.

26 mods at charleston last night.....$1000 to win.....finished 18 cars i think.....30 laps schwartz, menser, shamhart all ran good in the end mensers bad luck and shamhart backed up....danny schwartz won goin' away

all other tracks get worked all week not just on race day they might have real officials not ones that show favorites every week to same people................you wouldnt think that they have ran everyone off from this area???? due to stupid calls made on and off the track????????? seen many weeks track sits until race morning then worked ,seen many times promoter or his family foul mouth drivers to run em off many many bad calls stoping certain cars on track to wrk on certain cars NO i wouldnt know why car count wb down...................

I can't let you blame track prep for low car count....I don't know how much or when they work on it but, Fayette county's racing surface is one of the best in the state...it may get dry but,, what track doesn't.....it's good dirt and charlie keeps it hard.....it takes rubber VERY well and (sundays excluded) the dust is low comparible to other tracks...most nights,, by the end of the night,, you can run top or bottom,, dry or tacky and, every week the winner comes from a different groove some nights top,, some bottom....hell alot of nights the street winner wins on bottom,,, the mod winner runs the top and the pure stock winner,,,runs throught the middle...a few weeks ago we had a tacky smooth track all night.... you don't usually put those 2 words together when talkin' about racing surface......
...Now I'm excluding the sunday races,,cause they kill my argument but I think those are anomalies,, caused by weather and situation.....usually we run on sundays and the track is dry after hotlaps and doesn't take rubber and it's a dust cloud all night.............Ive' grown up at that place and, for the last 20 years at least....thats what you get racing during the daytime under the sun.....unless it rained 6 inches friday night and got reschedualed then it's rough as hell and we prolly shouldn't have been there in the first place....
....now the other issues you brought up I ain't touchin' those with a 10 ft pole.........but I just can't let anyone dog on the surface cause we've got it good down here at fayette co.......

i just sold my sportsman car saturday, and picked up my new Gumm modified on the same trip. once i get it done i plan to race up there as much as i can, but it will be about a month. it is my favorite track around here, the people at the track have always been nice the racing is usually great too

well..... I wouldn't accuse charlie of trying to please everyone all the time but, I think he does the best he can..........I think sharing cars with tri-city is hurting our car count on friday nights.....I agree charlie's "judgment calls" tend to rub people the wrong way but,, anyone who race's there regularly can tell you it's consistant.....if you race overly agressively and someone goes around off your nose.......your goin' to the back...sometimes it's intentional and sometimes it's just a racing thing.....but,,,....if you've been screwed by it... you've been saved by it too...like an MLB umpire...consistancy is key............

I know the Bud1 car got sent to the back last week for Mullins spin and I have clear video that shows about a 3-4 ft gap between the two cars. Larry Anderson also had this happen to him 2 weeks ago as well. I just hate to see this happen to a good hearted driver that is a good competitor who drives a good distance to support our local track
