Way to go Clay Bauman! Challenging Feger for the lead several times in the heat and went on to a 2nd place finish with a crate motor. He must have broke something at the start of the feature and pulled off early.

Talk about the highs and lows of racing. First we make 10-12 qualifying laps because the timing light wont pick up the car. End up starting 5th in the heat race and drive up to the lead with a crate motor at a Summer Nationals race and follow Feger across the line for 2nd. Line up 6th in the feature and on the first lap break a set of gears and destoy the rearend to finish 21st. It would of been interesting to see how we would have finished with the track getting as black as it did.

Well I totally agree with you Leigh Ann "scorethis" a big thanks to everyone that attended and worked at the track on Tues night.
I had the honor of working with everyone on Tues and I know now why I retired! My body and feet hurt so bad today that I feel like I have either ran a MARATHON or been in a horrific CAR CRASH!!!!!LOL But even with all of the aches, it was worth it just to see everyone, I miss working with everyone every week, but I still love the great sport of racing!

Thanks for letting me holler at you once again (boy do I miss that)!LOL Good luck to everyone on fair night, sorry that I might not be there to see everyone, just depends on work.

Thanks again soooooo much

I know what you mean Kathy ... I think I'm WAY too old to get home at 3 (that 2-hour drive home is a killer late at nite) and then have to be at work at 8 ... but it was definitely well worth it.

Thanks for helping us!!
