Why did so few Late Models show up? Only 13 cars started the feature? Good feature though with Korte showing his dominance. Dixon finished a distant second but sure get's a lot out of that car. Ed still "has it".
 
Not sure why you say "He gets a lot out of that car"...

It is pretty good stuff with a good team behind him.
 
Good question and lot of people were wondering that same thing. Andrew Johns is working with Brian Shirley on the Summer Nationals tour. That is one. Where was David Jumper, Matt Zimmerly and Randy Estes just to ask about a few? Tim Ratajczyk was camping.
 
That car is 8 years old. He does get quite a bit out of it, but his team and all of the hard work Tiffany Motorsports has done can be attributed to their success. Unfortunately they made a poor tire choice last night, and it hurt them. As they get use to what the tracks and tires are doing they will only get better. Randy is a helluva driver and so is dad, before the year is up I would expect some good battles between the two
 
8 yr old car with updates i may add. Its a good car.......great team and yes he is a great driver.
 
The way the track has been early in the night, they might as well just let us draw a pill and just go straight to the features. There has been very little passing in the heats so what's the point? All the fans say they love it because I'm sure there's no dust but guess what...most drivers hate it so keep it up and see how few cars will be in attendance! No cars...no fans. Who comes first?

I was there late saturday so I cant comment about the heats this saturday, but we saw some great passing in the features, as a former driver I would rather have it racey in the money race rather then the heats if that was the case. I was at the Mars VS Ump night and there was a lot of passing in the heats. Some times you pass some nights you miss the setup and go backwards and depending on the draw you may stay where you start. As a matter of fact the night of the Mars Ump deal I stopped by Scott Webers pit he was bummed about his qualifing lap had a bobble off 2 and I said to him whats the big deal its not like you have not passed a car before he smiled said I guess your right, I think he ran 2nd
 
Well, looked at the results and it seems like my points are invalid. No regulars at Wilmot. Montgomery rained out. And not much to talk about from Highland. So I'm not sure.
 
I think the racing has been pretty darn good this year at I-55...

Racing Edge, have you even passed a car period since moving up to a late model?

Just a few! It was a Great Night of Racing none the less!!! Car count mid 80's in 4 classes!
 
Montgomery did run and had about 15-18 or so late models but got rained out after the heat races. No features were run. I'm sure a few I-55 regulars were there.
 
With another track open running basically the same classes as I55 and highland, you are going to get watered down car counts.
 
It was father's day weekend. I am sure that had a part of it. People like to spend time with their kids on that day and maybe they went camping or a float trip and maybe the rain scared some of them away.
