Fellers Headlines Midway USRA Feature As 3 New Winners Grab Victories

Lebanon,Mo.-The theme of new winners is what every racetrack wants and Friday Night action at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway that theme was strong as 3 first-time winners were crowned.

In the USRA modified feature,Donnie Fellers grabbed the opening lead with Danny Atkinson following closely.On lap 2,point leader Justin Neuman took over the top spot with Fellers right on his bumper.Neuman looking for his first win of the season seemed to have control while Fellers was staying close behind as Rustin Miller,Atkinson and Rusty Dukes were battling.A lap 7 caution for debris sent Terry Kirk to the pits with a flat tire,but he returned at the tailend of the field.Neuman shot ahead on the restart,but on lap 9 pulled into the pits with problems sending Fellers to the lead with Rustin Miller and Rusty Dukes right behind him.Miller tried several times to get the top spot,but Fellers held on for his first ever Midway victory followed by Miller,Dukes,Danny Atkinson and Colson Kirk.

The FactoryStocks again provided another action packed feature as defending champion Tim Petty grabbed the opening lap lead with Chip Shaddux following closely.On lap 2, Shaddux to the top spot over Petty as the red flaf flew for Donnie Miller,James Flood and Doug Rich.Miller's car ended-up on it top but Donnie was able to walk away unhurt.On the restart,Shaddux was leading over Petty as point leader Bob Gustin,last weeks winner Ben Solberg and Bill Scharr were battling.Derek Brown began to make his way forward from the 12th starting spot as Solberg moved into second on lap 8 and closed the gap.On lap 11,Solberg took over the lead as Brown moved to challange on lap 12.This duo battled until the end with Solberg grabbing his second consectutive win followed closely by Brown,Shaddux,point leader Gustin and Petty.

The B-Mods again provided close action all night long as another new winner croosed the winner's circle.Chris Tonoli grabbed the opening lead from his 5th starting spot as pole setter Ted Ballinger followed closely.Josh Woody and defending champion Jason Otto along with Micheal Stake followed closely.With Tonoli holding off repeated challanges from Woody,the yellow flew on lap 6 for Brian Webster,Greg Strong and Ballinger who pulled in with flat tire.On the restart Woody pulled even,but Tonoli was using a middle lane path to grab the lead again.On lap 9,Jason Otto's car slowed on the backstretch bringing out the yellow and moving point leader and 12th starting Mickey Burrell into the hunt into third place.on the restart,Woody tried Tonoli again,but Tonoli was strong coming off the corners.On lap 12,Burrell moved around woody to grab second place and set his sights on Tonoli as Jack Lancaster and JC morton were moving up also.Burrell got close but tonight Tonoli grabbed the win followed by Burrell,Woody,Lancaster and another strong run by Micheal Stake.

The Bombers were tunning up for next weeks $500 to win feature as Matt Pilant grabbed the opening lead with Keith Cheever following closely.Tim Bostwick brought out the 1st yellow and the following lap,Cheever's strong run ended with a flat tire.On the restart,pilant was looking strong with John Coates moving into the runner up spot and challanging.On lap 4,Coates took over the lead with Shawn Winfrey following and previous winner Shawn Strong moving from 11th.On lap 6,Strong stopped in turn 2 with brake problems and Winfrey went to the pits.With coates leading,point leader Joe Francis moved solid into second with Jack Hamer moving quickly up to the front.Coates opened-up a lead as Hamer and Francis battled.Coates grabbed his first ever Midway win with Francis just nipping Hamer for second with Hamer,a fast moving Sundance Keepper and Rodney yost completing the top 5.

The PureStock feature saw Adam Lowrance take advantage of his outside front row starting spot with newcomer Scotty Jones staying close behind.A tight pack behind the lead duo provided close action as Lowrance found Jones battling hard as Joey Long had moved into third place.On lap 5,Jones night ended with overheating problems as Frank Bryson moved to the second place spot.Out front Lowrance would open up the lead as Bryson,Jason Brumley and point leader Les Hayes followed closely.As the checkered flew,Lowrance grabbed his 4th win of the season followed by Bryson with a good run,Brumley who started 10th,Hayes and last weeks winner John McGinnis.

Action next week features a $500 to win bomber feature along with the Hillbilly Farm Truck Enduro,car Enduro and points racing for the FactoryStocks,B-Mods and LateModelSportsman.Kids 10 and under will be having Bike Races at intermission.
