(Paducah, KY) Coming off what could arguably be the busiest past 7 days in the history of Paducah International Raceway, the staff, drivers and fans are gearing up to close out the month of August with another outstanding night of dirt track racing action presented by Pepsi Midwest and Feezor Restoration in Paducah.

Pepsi Cola will once again host a pre-race party at PIR with a band providing the entertainment for the fans as Pepsi, Feezor Restoration, and Paducah International Raceway once again try to raise awareness and help replenish the shelves of the local food banks to help with the fall and winter seasons just ahead.

Also scheduled for the fans will be the outlaw bed races. Race fans are encouraged to come up with their own form of racing machine using the head and footboards, along with the side rails to create wild and wacky machines to race against other competitors. Race crews for the teams will consist of 4 people. One person will steer, navigate, or just go along for the ride on the outlaw race bed while the other 3 will push to power the machine.

A full night of stock car racing will also take place with the UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinder Warriors all in competition. CARS Crate Late Models will be in action, as will the Outlaw Mini-Sprints for the second week in a row. Vintage Cars will return to the track in September.

This week will be the final week for race fans to register to qualify for a chance to win the 2007 Chevy Silverado to be given away on September 7th, 2007 (weather permitting).
The pickup truck to be given away is courtesy of Paducah International Raceway, Chevy Racing and Cache River Chevrolet. Over the course of the summer 60 lucky race fans or drivers will have been qualified for the chance to win the vehicle valued at nearly $40,000.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
