I heard Frankie Martin was running Godfrey this year on friday night instead of Belleville, does anyone have any truth to this rumor?

I would hope to think Frankie will be at belleville again its great so see him out there always good competition frankie is you see this please belleville buddy its always great to have u there

Not sayin' he couldn't do it at Godfrey, but his success at Belle-Clair was a what had him up there in the UMP points. Why change a good thing?

I think Frankie raced at less than 10 different tracks last year & won at atleast four of them, Belleville, Highland, Mt.Vernon & I believe Lincoln. I dont know where Frankie & crew plan to race this year but wherever they go im sure they will do good.

I dont see why he would. Hasnt he won the Championship at Belleville for the last 3 years??? Id say it was just a rumor, but u never know!!!

With Frankie's place of work already a long distance from B'ville I would think that logistically it would be very difficult for him to make the trek each week even farther up the road to Godfrey every week. Plus, like many have said, the guy is flat out at Belle Vegas every week, why mess with success!?!

Looks like the rumor mill is at it again! We are NOT racing at Godfrey this year unless it is for special shows or rainouts where Belleclair is not racing and Godfrey is. We will be continuing with the same schedule we have always ran except work permitting we would like to run for Kevin Sunday nights at Granite. We have done well at Belleclair for a number of years and are defending track champions for 2002, 2003, 2004. We have been treated fair by Allied and by Stan. Why would you change something that's not broken? We feel our finish in UMP was an accumulation of points from several tracks not just Belleclair. We had wins at Belleclair, Highland, Mt.Vernon, Lincoln, for a total of 14 feature wins. Two of those were Challenge of Champion races one at Highland running with O'Neal for 40 laps and one at Mt.Vernon beating Weaver. We had fun at Lincoln and did well there too. I wanted to go 5 for 15 and race at Malden in Oct. but Frankie went on Strike and said he was done. We are working on the car and are anxious for the new season to start. One of our long standing crew members had brain surgery yesterday and we'd like to ask for your prayers for Larry and that his tumor results come back OK next week. We look forward to seeing everyone SOON!!!!!!!!!!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry!!! Keep us posted on him!!

Also Good Luck Frankie & Crew on a great and safe 2005!! :D

I am ready for the season to start again too! I am running out of things to do! I can't wait to start spending my fridays with you guys! It is always a blast! I hope Larry is alright, Let me know how he is doing! Hope to be back at the track soon
Matt

Larry has got to be one of the nicest guys and I hope everything is going to be okay. He will be in our prayers for a complete recovery.:)

It is with a heavy heart that I am informing our racing friends that Larry's brain tumor was cancer. It is a very fast growing cancer. He will have a halo placed on his head and then have a radiation treatment on Wed. and then they are referring him to a cancer specialist. I'm sure he would be thrilled to hear from his racing friends.

Mrs. M, I am so sorry for you all and Larry's family. My prayers are with him, I know from getting to know you better this past season you all have been through a lot. Please take care.

I am sorry to hear that, about 5 years ago my mother had a brain tumor wrapped around her spinal chord and all of the major nerves in the back of her brain. IT was a very tough time for all of us, so i know how you, and larry, and his family must feel. My mother was only given a 10% chance of survival, and as an 8th grader that is very hard to handle thinking you might loose your mother! But with alot of prayer, support from our family, and friends, and my mothers will to survive, she pulled through. Radiaton will be tough, but with all of our prayers, hopefully larry will be just fine, and back at the track!
Your Friend,
Matt
