Not trying to gripe or cause any trouble, there was some good racing Friday night, I just have a question.

Isn't it when someone is black flagged, they automatically take 20th place? Or last place depending on how many cars run the feature? And not only that, but he went off the track before the #7 of Jeff Asher, and was still given 15th. Not that there's a difference of pay or anything, but I was just wondering!

Oh, and the check we received for pay out has that Jeff was given 16th and it says he was 18th on here. We were just wondering, no big deal.

Yes he did receive the Black Flag, he was listed in the order he was removed from the track, no points were awarded - so in essence scored as a DQ - 5E was skipped over when I tallied points.

The way the list is shown is finish order and then any DNS, DNF start at the bottom of the list... so the 87s was the first to leave the track with a DNF, then next to DNF was the 85G, so he was recorded at the bottom of the list, then we move up. Asher was given 18 points, because he started the race, but DNF. Our points structure that we utilize has anyone from 11th place on getting 18 points as long as they start the feature race. The way we record supports your statement of the 5E removed before the 7 of Asher. Asher did get more laps on the track then the 5E so he was recorded higher on the finsh list.

Not that there's a difference of pay or anything, but I was just wondering!

Thanks for answering that. After I posted it, I saw that there were no finishing position numbers by the DNF cars and kinda felt dumb! I guess I just didn't look it over good enough and was kind of irritated someone who was black flagged was given a higher finishing position...SORRY!
