Friday May 25th UMP Modified "Belle-Clair 100" $1500 to Win Belle-Clair Speedway!

Mods don't run alcohol anymore,do they?? Rear weight %,correct?
I heard there is going to be one fuel caution. Also heard they may only allow 5 gallons at this caution. Not sure the truth behind the second but on alcohol that's not gonna be good.

Some still do. I asked Rusty G. this question last week and he says that he still runs alcohol. Some LMs still run it also. Hammerle for example.

This is good information for everyone. Drivers now have a better feel for coming to the show. Good payout.

Really these drivers can't go 100 laps at Bell-Clair with out needing fuel. They don't even do a fuel stop for The Dream and World and it's a bigger track.

That's because those are national events and everyone that shows up knows to be on gas...

You can't expect a local modified driver to spend the $$$ to switch to gas from alcohol.

Also, a lot of chassis manufacturers are going to smaller fuel cells to reduce fuel slosh and to better place the fuel weight exactly where they want it in the car. I would venture a bet that when the touring guys show up to a 100 lap race, they have a bigger fuel cell than they run at shorter races. Most local guys aren't going to go through that trouble. It is just easier to schedule a fuel caution so that nobody is left out.

Hopefully a caution will come for another reason with about 30 to go,so the race won't be stopped just for fuel..Also,fuel only-no tires correct?

correct. 2 men per car 3 minutes fuel on the lower track apron on both straightaways may adjust air pressure in tires give driver a drink and tear offs if needed. It will be near mid race either on a caution or we will throw one for this purpose!

Yes! Finally the day ha arrived to start a big weekend of racing. Bonus monies for the modifieds Belleville, federated auto parts and tri city.Lets go racing!!
