I have a BG gas carb for sale, it started as a 750, but has a 850 baseplate (1 11/16). Just rebuilt it this weekend with all Holley parts. I'm pretty sure it would be C.A.R.S. legal. Migged T.linkage, milled t.shafts, thin blades, (butterflies), Low time, we switched to alcohol and put this one on the shelf, so I rebuilt it and it's ready to rock now..$350..
