River City Rascals Name Bob Wente as Executive Director
The River City Rascals announced today Bob Wente as the Executive Director in charge of baseball operations. Wente, will be the first person to hold this position that has not existed in the franchise’s 7 year history. Essentially, Bob’s responsibility is to oversee all front office activities for the Rascals.
Before joining the Rascals, Wente owned and operated the Tri City Speedway for 12 years in Granite City, Illinois. He recently sold the NASCAR approved dirt raceway to Gordon and Kevin Gundaker. “Motor Sports has given me the background to efficiently manage a professional sports facility,” said Wente. “I look forward to the challenge of leading the River City Rascals organization to another Frontier League Organization of the Year Award.” The Rascals organization earned the award in 2000 and 2001.
