Broken Bow, OK (03/16/10) – Gary Christian opened the 2010 M.A.R.S. campaign in his #58x Pannell Chipping/LCM Cedar Fiber/GRT/Kuntz & Company Racing Engine Super Late Model on Friday night and came away with a great second place finish.

Christian Motorsports traveled to Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee for Gary's first ever event at the 1/4 mile oval. The $3,000 to win event, which was sanctioned by the Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Super Late Model tour drew a field of 35 Super Late Models. Via heat race action, Gary earned the outside front row starting spot for the feature event alongside pole-sitter, Eric Turner. Turner took the lead as the race got underway with Christian in the second spot. Over the next several laps, Christian would pressure Turner for the lead and would even briefly take possession of the top spot on a mid-race restart before slipping back to the third spot a few circuits later as Brian Shirley drove past him. Gary would run third for next several laps before driving back around Shirley in turn three on the white flag lap to record a strong second place finish to race winner, Eric Turner.

On Saturday night a $5,000 to win M.A.R.S. race was rescheduled, but it was nixed by rain.
This weekend, March 19th-20th, the team will travel to Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma for the Bud Purkey Memorial, which posts a $6,000 to win prize and will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model Series tour. For more information, please visit www.MLRAracing.com .
