Gas price gurus explain this.

So, King, how much has the price of chicken increased in the past 10 years ?:D

When I purchased the place exactly 10 years ago next month (weird huh?) Whole Chicken was .37 cents/lb. Cunrrently it is .85 cents/lb.
which is a 130% increase.

I am glad to see the ban on offshore drilling extended. The plan was to drill in areas of Utah which is BLM land, as well as parts of Canyonland NP.If you have ever been to this area you wouldn't want it drilled in either. It is protected land. If they start drilling in the National Parks, what's next, the Grand Canyon. Glad they halted it!

Its all a sham we are at their mercy! Drill here and now. Yeah, I would want them to be responsible with it, but in the end I need affordable fuel. All these scenic places are great, but they do nothing for me and my family's way of life. I've never been to most of them and probably never will. But, this could be handled without ruining these places. jmo

First of all if oil is going to run out someday then we are wise to use up everyones elses first and save our own for oue use when the rest of the world runs out and second, don't believe everything you read or hear about enviromentalist law suits, most of the time the suit is being funded by a large business that has business interests to protect.

You see a lot of that in the logging industry, another logging company does't want another company to get a lease and underecut the first business's profits.

And the biggest rip is that the major oil companies weren't even paying $140 , they have hedged long term contracts with the producers, same for the airlines, shippers and all big users of oil products.

We got hosed with higer prices for gas as well as almost all goods and services.
