Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway's favorite mascot Gateway Guy awoke today from his winter slumber and walked out of the Drag Racing Tower to find no shadow of his own. This of course means there will be an early spring to go along with earlier dates of the O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals!
Only three months left until the loudest, brashest, fastest drag racers in the world come to Gateway. The O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals come to town on May 4 through May 6. New dates and times = faster speeds and more track records. Nitro-burning, fire-breathing action that will shake the Gateway Arch. Cooler temperatures in May should lead to record setting times and faster speeds of over 300 mph on Gateway's championship quarter-mile. All of the fan favorites will be there including John Force, Tony Schumacher, Brandon Bernstein, and the return of the legendary Kenny Bernstein. In 2007 catch 'Nitro's Child' Ashley Force as she dukes it out against her father and a host of others in the Funny Car class. Gateway brings fans closer to the action than any other track. Every ticket is a Pit Pass!
