BELLEVILLE, IL: The 2004 Gateway Open Wheel Racing Series shows at the Belle -Clair Speedway are rapidly gaining momentum with the assistance of several sponsors.
Signing up as sponsors to help present this year's auto racing programs are:
Hoosier Tire Midwest, Stein Automotive, Loyet Landscape and Maintenance, Johnston Towing, K & K Garage, Soy City Sock Company, and K & B Motorsports.
The 2004 MARA midget and micro sprint events will once again be promoted by Kenny Brown and Brian Thompson. The first event on the schedule for the series is Sunday, June 13th. Hot laps will be at 6. The first heat race will get the green flag at 6:30.
Other Belle-Clair dates include the July 11th Shannon Finley Memorial, the August 11th Arnie Knepper Memorial during the St. Clair County Fair, and the series finale on September 12th.
"I can't say enough about the importance of our sponsors. Without them, there wouldn't be a series," stated Brown. "Brian and I have worked hard over the last two years to provide good racing, good fields of cars, and a show that is run as quick as possible.
