Late Model feature was very good... Some great side by side racing. Melvin and Korte battled for many laps, then Matt Taylor put the challenge on Korte for the win. But in the end, it was Korte taking the win...

Those out early included Dixon (loss of oil pressure), Brian Shirley (broken tie rod) and Brian Collins (rear end).

Great run for Dick Taylor in the 28 car normally driven by John Beck.

Eric Smith had problems all night, broke in his heat, spun in the semi and took a provisional to get into the feature. Brickler got the other provisional.

Duane Chamberlain looked strong in his heat as he finished 2nd. Spun early in the feature and had a flat. Had to restart on the rear and didn't make up much ground.

Harrison put on a clinic in the modifieds. Martintoni had another great run to take 2nd. Still amazed at the low car count in the modified division at Godfrey.

Mark Bohnenstiehl got his 2nd straight feature win...

tonight the track was dry but in all i think that it made for some good races in the mods tim hancock was back in the p1, had problems in the heat race , started in the rear for the feature, made a hard mid race charge to the front, and pulled a 4th place finish out of the deal good job timmy. didnt get to watch much of the late model feature could only see them go in and out of turn 3 and 4 but it looked like korte and melvin had a pretty good race nice race randy, and for the street stock feature it was starting off pretty good for me started 3rd row in the heat finished 2nd . that set me up for a 2nd row inside start and the bottom seemed like thats wear u had to be i layed back for a few laps to let things sort out a little and tryed to be smart, clean and pick them off one by one i made it to second and me and ponder had a good little race going and it thought luck might have been on my side for once and i might have got my first feature but it wasnt like always we came up on the guys in the back and a couple happen to spin in front of us and the only way that i could avoid it was to spin myself so i did and my car was smoking really bad (sorry guys had a valve cover gasket problem ) and it cought on fire thanks buddy love for getting out of ur car to put out the fire i finally got the car started and took the second spot but what i didnt know was the bolt had snapped off on my upper front a frame and i went back to racing and it was all problems from there spun sideways ramped the infield then i realized something was wrong so i pulled out and ponder got the win congrats fans said it was one of the best street stock races in a while sorry so long needed to write to clear my mind see ya saturday at granite if u guys will be their and could somone maybe wish some good luck on me thanks for the time
the beat up but
o~so~fast #22 Tommy Gegg

Congratulations to Tim Driscoll in the #1 Street Stock. His first time ever at Godfrey and he won the heat race and finished 2nd in the feature. Great job!!

Thanks Chad for having 2 wreckers and a push truck (or ATV)!!

I think it took a little too long to throw a caution when Collinz was broke in the back stretch. It seemed like the lead cars passed him twice. Talk about a sitting duck. Overall GREAT racing.

Thanks to the NALMS for coming out!

All in all it was a good night of racing. The track was dry but that happens. We were sorry the bmods got shorted last night but understand the reason. Keep up the good work Chad and crew. Was glad to see 2 wreckers there however u could tell they werent use to handling race cars and were slow to respond which used up alot of the race time and when u are on a time limit that really hurts. Way to go Tommy Gegg, Randy Korte, and welcome back Rick Rhoades.

Here's mine???

Well gonna start off by this....was a good race night!!!! Here are some issues that I really want to get off my chest..one when they threw the white and checkerd last night at the same time due to time...well it was when a caution just got done and he threw a yellow light at turn 3 and alot of them slowed down and lost their place cuz of that....that is one...my second is this...how can they keep saying their gonna have two features the next week but they can't ever finish anyway by 11..." I really hate this new 11:00 cufew"...and the third thing is we need KTI back...now this just my opinion....wtg Harrison, and Korte...and Tommy Gegg....and Tommy you will get your win just hang in there!!

Tommy your time is coming!!! Just hang in there and keep doing what your doing. Sooner or later the bad luck streak with the car will wear off...lol!!!

yea Tommy..you are learning..every week..and getting faster..more patient..thats the key. Good run.
