I had a nice long post earlier but the internet went wobbly and it was lost.

So a short one just to be on the safe side.

Still in China, still teaching. Plan to return home in July of 2012 with Chinese girlfriend and her daughter. Going to visit I55, shoot guns, see baseball, and do touristy stuff.

I need to know if I can renew my drivers license early. My license doesn't expire until Feb. of 2013. I won't be in the country then and was wondering if I could renew my license before then.

hey dog sounds like you have another job chinese are probably still working with windows 98 jujst up your alley we see you next july
 
Actually they are using Chinese Windows XP. I had a computer built and specified I needed an English operating system. When the computer arrived it was Chinese Windows XP. I had acquired a Windows 7 operating system and updated it and changed the language to English.

ICQ or QQ is the big chat program here. I hate QQ...lol

Hey Jimmy

I heard you won a feature from STLRacin.cn but it was heavily edited by the Chinese News Agency so it was hard to tell much about the race.

"Evil racing capitalist Jimmy Cummins wins feature. Losing drivers detained for questioning."

Since I'm in the future I know who won the races before you guys get to the track. China is 12 or 13 hours ahead of St. Louis. So I just check the Chinese knockoff site of STLRacing to get my results. The Chinese copy everything...lol

There are times I'm too busy to be homesick. And there are other times that I really miss being able to see racing and sports on TV other than Government approved Badminton and Philippine Basketball. Badminton isn't bad you just watch the shuttle cock go back and forth, back and forth, back and... IT'S NOT THE SAME DAMN IT, IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME.

Now if the Chinese would bring back lawn darts. Now we're talking.

Oh well, I will see you again in July. Like I said in the earlier post that was blocked by the censors. My Chinese girlfriend and her daughter will see a slice of Americana that is not Party approved...lol

They will need to be educated on jello shots and chocolate chip cookies. They know all about beer. A 1 liter bottle of beer sells for about a buck here. Sadly all the Chinese beer is 3.2 beer.

Oh well back to the classrooms. Time to teach our future overlords the difference between Kite, Cat and Kitchen...Sheesh

When I do come back I will be making a visit for sure to the St. Charles location. They have KFC here and Fried Chicken but there is only 1 KING EDWARDS!!!

"Sigh" Now off to another teachers meeting.

Trashdog, if you could, give me a heads-up before he wins another feature so I could have cookies ready the night of the event. Can't wait to see you in July 2012. Tell me when and I'll have cookies and slaw for you! Miss you!
