Inside Line Promotions - MARION, Ark. (May 14, 2019) - Derek Hagar will head to his home track of Riverside International Speedway this Saturday in search of his third Hooker Hood Classic victory.

"We've won this race twice now, which was back to back in 2015 and 2016," he said. "We're looking forward to it, especially since it'll be the first time we've been able to race at home all year."

Riverside International Speedway had a good amount of work done to it during the offseason. While the racing surface has been improved, new walls have also been put up around the track.

"I'm pretty anxious to see what the race is going to be like," Hagar said. "We always go into this weekend with high expectations. We know what we need to do. Now we just have to do it."

Hagar enters the weekend on the heels of his first victory of the season, which came in late April. It marked his third consecutive podium finish.

He earned a trio of podiums and six top fives last year in 360 and 305 competition at Riverside International Speedway. Hagar also posted his World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series career-best result of 11th at the bullring.
