Nut behind the wheel
Pro 4's Being at the Rock next year... Good idea... Cheap cars... family participation, brings alot of persons to the track. Which = $$$. We are in the process of building one to take to Benton now, and buying another one this week..I believe it will work if people know about it, so they can start looking for cars and getting them built.. Please dont wait till January or March to say yeah or neah. Or you wiil most liklely have no cars.. With cars in this class your cars will be mainly local. Let the locals know.. We are in a low income are, and this is a cheap class compared to the rest. It will have better chance of drawing cars. The payout is next to nill. I was at Pevely 3 weeks ago on a Wed. I counted $1650 brought in by this class. One step in the right direction.. But.. That is just my opinion..

a little $$$

We have a mini-stock (pro-4) and our family alone will bring in $150 in pit passes every Friday night and probably more when all of the good old boys who help with the car show up..

Ya its a slower class, but the payout is less. And last year all of the mini-stock drivers were WILLING TO SET THE PAYOUTS TO WHAT THE CAR COUNT WAS....thats one thing you can not say for the guys who spend all the extra money for their A-mods, Crates, and sportsman and require a high payout. I'm not knocking those classes...I love every one of them. I just agree with Jason. The mini-stock (Pro-4) class would be a beneficial class for the Rock. Just my opinion.

Also...we raced at Malden, Montgomery County, Doe Run, and The Rock last year and The Rock by far had a much higher payout then any of these tracks. Matter of fact, Malden made each crate driver pay $75 on top of their pit pass just to race.

My point is....I think that The Rock must lower their payouts across the board unless they start getting large car counts...then payout more.

Ya gotta bring in more then what goes out.

Little302 is talking about the Pro4 class like at Pevely. "Stock" FWD and RWD cars, not the ministocks that have raced there in the past. I've been hearing it too. Hope they would be able to get a car count. Nothing else has down there though.

Bring them on... I have plenty of pro-4/hornets laying in the field... hey jason you still got the rules that was made up for this class before Millsey left us? no claim rule or a claim rule after so many races won in a row...

who all are you all joking!!!! did someone else buy the track? cause if its the same losers, i mean idiots. sorry let me refrase this if curly an anne have anything to do with it then you all might not want to start building till they get someone like terry back in there to run the show or it aint happening. get real, you all that believe in those two must go to there church. good luck anyways.

Calm down... Give it a chance.. The purestreets are a cheaper class and they worked. Alot of people want to race. This is an ultra cheap class, as far as CHEAP RACING goes.. Not that those 2 words belong in the same sentence. I can build my first pro 4 in the neighborhood of $600 with good tires. Im buying another old ministock and cramming a stock motor in it. That will run me about $500, plus seat and cell. So about 600 or 700 again. Thats race ready...These are not real racecars.. They are cars you race. A Neon, a Cavalier, mustang, Pinto, S-10(which I dont recommend), Any sohc 4 cylinder motored car within the rules. Celica, Honda, etc. etc..There are dozen of um out there. Like the one in Your neighbors back yard that needs a fuel pump, $120, and the cost of the car cause your neighbor doesnt want to work on it , and neither do I.. We cut our cage out of an old bent up modified. I'll put pics up soon of the project. So get out there and find a car.!!!!
