Hendrick Convinces NASCAR to Overturn the 48 / Knauss Penalty

Shouldn't they be taking into consideration, that it's the economy and NOT the situation with Jimmie Johnson's crew cheif!! Face it people are not going to spend their money on this kind of weekend vacation. People have to put their prioritities first. I know I can't afford to head down to Talledega this year, with the gas prices the way they are, plus buy tickets for the race! Even though we always saved money for a hotel room by staying with family. It just not ecomonicaly possible. I just went to visit my parents this last weekend and it cost a little over a hundred dollars for gas ONE way, and we went in a Hybrid..! Years past, it cost about a $100.00 round trip for gas!

If you would read the story john middlebrook is who overturned the penalty not nascar he is the chief appellate officer please know what you are talking about before commenting. Yes its bull that it was overturned middlebrook had a long relationship with hms years ago when he was with gm.

Could it be the tens of thousands of empty seats at bristol last weekend... That nascar cannot afford for jimmy johnson's championship hopes hurt so early in the season? :cool:

John Middlebrook IS nascar...appointed by nascar, to nascar back in 2010, so dont be to harsh with your comments.
