(Macon, IL) Race fans will be treated to a special UMP Late Model event at the Macon Speedway on Thursday, July 2nd, with the running of the Herald & Review 100. This event will mark stop 19 in the 27 date Summer Nationals Late Model tour. The Summer Nationals tour pays over three-quarters of a million dollars in prize money with Thursday night’s winner taking home $6000 for their win. The UMP Summer Nationals tour has quickly become one of the most anticipated dirt Late Model tours in the nation that attracts talented drivers like Dennis Erb, Randy Korte, Rodney Melvin, Darren Miller and Don O’Neal. Last year’s winner of the Macon Speedway Summer Nationals was Kevin Weaver of Gibson City, Illinois. In addition to the exciting hundred lap UMP Late Model feature, our Street Stock and UMP Modified divisions will also hit the track.
Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning June 18th through the Herald & Review. Adult tickets will cost $18 in advance and children are $5. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on the day of the event. Adults will be $20, children 6-12 will be $5, and children 5 and under are free. Pit gates open at 4pm; Grandstands open at 5pm with the racing action starting at 7pm.

Return to the track for the Firecracker 40’s on our nation’s birthday, July 4, as we will definitely fire things up for the Independence Day holiday for another spectacular week at the super-fast 1/5 mile. The third Night of Nascar Stars at Macon Speedway will take place on July 22 and will feature Kasey Kahne and Kenny Wallace. Nine time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winner and driver of the #9 Budweiser Dodge for Petty Motorsports, Kasey Kahne will make his first appearance ever at the famous Macon Speedway. At this time, the first and second Nights of NASCAR Stars that were postponed due to rain have not been rescheduled.
