Here's an Idea

Bring back the classes that brought the most cars last season aka Modifies and Mini Stocks!...and I mean Modifies not those open wheel pure streets.

Good Idea????

Good Idea???? Why would you get rid of 9 or 10 B-Mods to bring in 10 or 11 A-mods and also increase the purse when the track is already struggling to make the payout as it is? And as far as the mini-stock class, sorry but this class bores the fans. You're right, that was a GOOD idea. DUH!

The only reason you want the AMods and you think everything else is boring is because Mike is not racing there. Get this thru your head, not everyone wants to watch him race. There are about 4 cars in the bmod class that are very exciting and the other classes are equally entertaning to a normal race fan like myself. I don't have a particular favorite, i just like good side by side racing and that is what i get to watch there.

Actually it is not because of Mike...i just think the track is a joke trust me i know a good track when i see it.

So I can make your day

:)

And to post my thoughts about the track...i have that right so i use it. ;)

I would have to say that the rock has made alot of mistakes but the one i think was the worst was not running the a mods this year. I know that i dont want to watch slow cars all night.

Well Derek, as much as I hate to agree with you when you get on your soapbox... I have to about the ministocks..and I own one... They are fun to drive if you are running in a pack, but boring as heck to watch.. They put on a decent show at Doe Run.. The decision to let them go I'm sure had something to do with not competing with other local tracks.. Which is wise for the racing economy. None of the classes at the Rock directly compete with other area tracks on the same night... Save the Purestreets at Benton..This is just the begining of a successful program. Although I own a mini, I had to agree with the decision..As for the sportsman, they are UMP sanctioned and running for points. This you would assume might bring more cars..Well it has failed to pan out, posssibly due to high fuel prices and distance to travel. But as a business decision, the odds are in the tracks favor. If racers are treated well they will come, but without good car count they wont get the money, or treatment they want.. With the new rule dealing with $ at the pit gate are what is paid out, it should only influence people to bring more $$ in.. They did it last year at the end of the season, and let guys know about it, and I remember our purestreet payout was higher than it had ever been!! So dont say it cant work..
