Highland Champions

Wow, yeah I remember that car! I used to race the #88 hornet last year at Brownstown and Highland, and this past year I was at Granite a lot with Keri Bailey. I'm sure I seen you a couple times here and there, probably just never put two and two together.
I'm not over at the shed that often unless its on a Friday or Saturday night partying. That's just akward that you brought Gerald up, kinda cool actually.

Turbo, I'm not diputing your info, I was just saying that Voight ran very good there for a while in the sportsman class. I know the programs your talking about, I problably have one here myself.

A lot of good information about Highland Speedway being posted on this thread. I hope most of it can be saved on their website. GAS It, you are right that the Klitzing Camaro, as The Talker Guy called it, was always and still is up there in points. Larry Klitzing has always seemed to have success with all of his drivers. In 1990, Terry Krump broke the track record that Marty Smith Sr. held for several years. I think three drivers broke it the same night. Greg McCray was the last driver to break the track record in 1992 and it stood until the class was dropped. The current Modifieds have since surpassed that record. Mark Voight was third in points in 1988 while winning the rookie of the year in the Modified/Late Model class. In 1989, he was first in points for most of the year but towards the end of the year he had some bad luck and Sellers came on strong at the end leaving Voight to settle for second.
