Highland Madison County Fair...!

The Vintage cars are racing this afternoon at the Highland Speedway....! Come out and cheer them on!
 
The only trouble was the vintage cars sat around for about 4 hours until they let the vintage cars get on the track. I swear they let the motorcycles race 5 times each and the vintage cars were waiting in the pits for a short hot lap session only to wait again to run their heats and finally their feature. Very poor planning on the tracks part for the vintage cars.
 
Yes it was very unorganized..! I do know the promoter did apologize for it! Last year the Vintage cars were done and leaving by 6pm..! There were some guys that came all the way down from Rolla., Mo and Southern Mo, that is quite a long hall for some, when they had to get up and go to work this morning! Our Son had to work mid-nights last night and had to leave, so he had to have his wife come get him so he could get to work and left his Dad to finish his race!! I guess we were fortunate we live only 35 miles from the track! There is suppose to be a 2 day Jamboree August 23/24 for the Vintage cars and we are looking forward to it. Should be a great time!! OLD CARS RULE...!
