Highland speedway rollover

Even though Mother Nature took out half the features, the roll over cars put on a GREAT intermission show. Those drivers must have a screw loose, but thanks for the show !!!
 
Last night at Highland was a joke. The promoter screwed a lot of people out of their money. Didn't give the micro's hot laps. Not a good way to treat the class with one of the strongest turn outs each night they run em. He told me that there would not be a late model dash because of time but I do believe they had a dash. Mother Nature is moving in and they do the roll over deal. $30 for a pit pass to not see the A main that I came to watch which was the micro's. I would have liked to watch the late model feature too. Some tracks wonder why they don't have good car counts. Well when you treat a group of cars like Highland did tonight you have your answer.
 
Blame Mother Nature. If they got your class in I highly doubt you would be complaining. Someone else would. The post was about the rollover. Start your own thread about your issue.
On that note. Hats off to the guys who had the guts to do it. I wasn't disappointed.

Adam no use explaing anything to this fool! What Highland and him need to understand is the micros is exactly why the people i bring with me and i will not attend a race at Highland as long as they are running! Those are a complete waist of time if you ask me! He wants to talk about eating up time in the show.....lets talk about how much time it eats up to just get them on the track then push start them just to get going! My feeling is if you cant start under your own then dont try to run! Now back to the originally started post!
 
hey faustfan2 now who is the fool. it looks like another race fan (meaning you) that has no clue what the hell you are talking about. just to set you straight micros have a wing on them and a starter, midgets have no wing and no starter. maybe you should attended a race when they run them, show you will know what the hell you are talking about. oh and by the way the micros have been the largest class to support the race track that you don't support on a weekly basis .
 
Jimmy not doubting you but the one and only time i went to Highland this year and the micros was there they was push started thats why my comment was what it was! 20racer your a real comidian! I wont even give you the satisfaction of hearing what i have to say about your ignorance! GOOD DAY

I could seriously care less what you know micros! Yep your right i dont have a clue about micros and really dont care to know anything about them! As gor your comment about just being a fan that has no clue of what im talking about....you dont know me or a thing about me and you have no clue of if im a driver a fan a official or anything, so until you know me or something about me i wouldnt run my pie hole!

As long as they are drawing 20+ Micros they aren't going anywhere... Plus it is a great class for many youngsters to get a start in racing...
 
I used to hate midgets and anything similar but the put in a good show and they bring a good crowd to the track.
 
Here is my view. Highland brought the micros in as a new class. Do you really think they would want to dump on them unless they had too? Heck doesn't matter really. When rain is involved and someone's events don't get viewed they get mad. Happens every time. I'm sure highland did all they could do. What did you want? For them to move the micros over everything else that night? Did the right and fair thing and I applaud them for that
 
There is nothing to complain about here but mother nature rearing her ugly head again. Someone paid to see everything racing or happening there such as the rollover event. Those races that were rained out will be run for you to see on a future race night! I am frankly tired of all the whining. Frankly people we have it good here in our area!
 
I am sorry but I can't help but laugh that the guy complaining about the open wheel cars has Smoke as his picture. He is the biggest open supporter there is. Oh by the way did win a wing sprint car race last night.

My problem isn't mother nature it is the track promoter lied about running a dash and about time. He claims there was no time to get hot laps in but runs a dash and roll over deal. The mods and late model guys pay the same amount as the micro guys so they deserve the same amount of track time. I know that Highland is a stock car track but the micro's bring in good money for the track so they don't deserve to be treated like shit.

Did the promoter lie or did the situation change enough to allow a LM dash? Maybe, just maybe they saved enough time by not hot lapping some classes to allow having the dash. What would the fans rather see for their money? Hot laps or a LM dash?
As far as the rollover deal. That was something that probably couldn't be rescheduled. I'm sure there were people there just to see that.
Not hot lapping a support class is far from treating them like shit. Especially when time constraints or weather are a consideration.

We didnt get to hot lap either in the street stock class. Its how they run their show. The rain held off alot longer than I expected and glad they got in what they did and greatly appreciate them allowing us to race our feature first as scheduled.
