Highland Speedway is working on rescheduling a date. Please hold on to your ticket stubs and pit passes. You will be able to use your ticket stub or pit pass at any Highland Speedway for the next full year from the date of the rained out event. As soon as we have a rescheduled date confirmed we will make the announcement.
 
Did I hear right last night that the field is set? And if so does this mean any new cars that might show up wouldn't be able to race? Just wondering..

I think that is what I heard too at least for the Mods and Street Stocks but they may need to re-think this if the show is going to be made up after the Summer Nationals points are over with. They will definately have some details to work out.
 
I like your thinking moyerfan1. I was actually thinking the Thursday before I55 rescedule date, then belle Clair or Tri city can sneak in a big purse race on that Friday between the two. Just wishful thinking on my part. Mother nature has to approve.

yes my brother and i were wondering about that to. my stub has a number on it his did not.
man the rain sucked i was looking forward to a great night. it was my first time at the races all year.
 
How about Thursday 9/12?
The WoO guys will be in Belleville on Friday the 13th and I-55 on Saturday the 14th.
We could have a nice 3 day run for the area.
 
They rescheduled it for sunday Aug 25th. The MARS series is at Paducah that friday, and Pevely on saturday.
 
The Summer Nationals makeup date has been set for Sunday, August 25, 2013. More details will be announced soon. Please remember to hang on to your ticket stub and pit passes from the rained out event, as you will be able to redeem them over the next year. You may use them for any Highland Speedway event; a regular night of racing, a special racing event, the makeup date, or even the Summer Nationals race next year.

The field is set, as the night's racing events started with qualifying. This date is part of a 3 day run in the area with the MARS vs. UMP series in the area at Paducah on Friday 8/23 and at I-55 on Saturday 8/24.

the field is set as in no additional late models can show up and race this event?
 
If you want it to be a part of a 3 day run for the area you really need a complete restart. If the field is set you wont get any additional cars to come and that defeats the whole purpose. Also what if you have some late models that don't make the trip back? Say theres 3 out of 1 group that don't come then what? That heat only gets 7 cars? I would definitely reconsider the "fields alreay set" thing
 
I agree, since not all the late models qualified how can the field be set?
Good point, what happens if one heat has 4 cars because some of the guys don't make it back. How is that fair for the other heat races.
If you want to set the field of mods because everyone qualified fine, but you have to open up the late's and let them all qualify again and let in some of the MARS guys if they show up.
 
I have a question about the 50/50 that was held that night......was it given away or not. We stay for quite awhile after the races were called to let the rain subside alittle, but never did hear any number called. It might of been but where we were setting we could hardly hear anything the announcers said @ all due to all the people screaming about the PEOPLE (and I use this word lightly) that were allowed on the track to body ski.
