Highland Speedway Summer Nationals

Can you define "the field is set"? What if the scenarios above happen and only a few cars from one heat show up? Hopefully UMP reconsiders their decision because we would all like to be able to see more cars allowed to race for $10,000.
 
I can definitely seeing it being a ump ruling if it was for summer nationals points. I was at Haubstadt Sunday and they said in the drivers meeting they were going to try and make it up for the points during the tour yet but since the tour is over and its no longer a summer nationals event I don't think the field should be set. I would check with ump one more time since the makeup date is after summer nationals points end. If you already did check about the now confirmed make up date then I understand I would just like to see the best show as possible and making sure you think about all things possible.
 
Moonflow please dont feed the troll! We all know hes a idiot! Ive yet to understand why Jimmy hasnt booted his yapping self yet! I mean Dirtboy got booted for stuff but yet this idiot is allowed to continue posting stuff that has no meaning or viable information to a thing he post! Id seriously consider paying Jimmy a monthly fee just to keep him off this site!
 
Sunday night racing, just like the old days @ St Chuck, but will need to take Monday off work, too old for that anymore!!!!!!!! but do like the Thurs idea before WOO, does make lots of sense to get huge draw
 
Im just glad to see that they (Highland) are allowing us to choose our own "make up date" to attend..:)
 
After reading all these replies I'm still not sure I understand? I do know that a long drive from the KC area to come to the show last week is in the review mirror at this point but why on earth would you be concerned with rescheduling this with the MARS races when those drivers apparently can't drop in? If this were my ex promoter out here at Warrensburg a complete refund would have been offered and people could have got a refund right on the spot, and before you call me crazy, trust me when I tell you this was done! What are people who come a long way supposed to do? And I'm only 4 hours away and am from there originally so I may be able to swing it, others who traveled farther, probably not likely they will be able to come back. That was the largest crowd I can rememer at the track, would have been a good one but what do you do but just accept it for what it is I suppose. And Jimmy, I thought you announced on here a makeup date for Pevely, has that been canned now too?
 
I have held my comments for a long time regarding highland but I really think you need to get with ump and reconsider letting additional cars tag onto the back of a heat race...ump forced us to become a member in order to race and it is reported here that the "FIELD IS SET"..ok,dont give points to a car that was not there the first night..if the 17 car was running I would have been there and got wet like every one else....JMO
 
a Sunday night $10k to win is interesting. I was hoping they could have made the fair race a $10k to win, but that's the same night as the PDC at Fairbury. There was really no way for Highland to win on this one, but I seriously hope UMP reconsiders their decision about the field being set. I also hope they figure out a more efficient way to get people through the gate.

How can the field be set and then you claim to say that you rescheduled since the Mars series is coming through? It won't matter if the field if set. Considering some of them cars will not even show back up. Poor decisions were made here
 
Not to be a Donnie Downer, but I'm a bit surprised this date being allowed with the city and during school.
