The Monster Midwest Series for U.M.P. DIRTcar Late Models will be making their first ever appearance at Highland Speedway this Saturday, August 22nd. The series features a $2,000 to win, $200 to start 40 lap feature event for some of the best U.M.P. DIRTcar Late Model drivers in the Midwest. The series points leaders are Ryan Unzicker and Eric Smith tied for first followed by Jason Feger, Dennis Erb Jr. and Frank Heckenast Jr.
Highland, Illinois' own Randy "KING KONG" Korte, who has numerous feature wins and came home as the runner up in the U.M.P. DIRTcar Summer Nationals, headlines the hometown favorites that include Chad Zobrist, Mark Faust, Paul Bailey, Michael Kloos, Mike Schulte and Frankie Martin in what promises to be an exciting event as the hometown hotshoes take on the Midwest Monsters.
Also on the racing program will be U.M.P. DIRTcar Modifieds, U.M.P. DIRTcar Sportsman, Street Stocks and U.M.P. DIRTcar Sport Compacts (Factory Stocks) as well as the Kid Modz Series.
