Highland Updates 3-26-16

thanks salsdad... once again you are above and beyond on the results.

Does anyone know why they pushed the tire in turn 1&2 out five feet on a caution in the middle of a feature. The tire had been in the same spot all nite, no one had touched it!!!! Took away the line the cars on the bottom were running. Zobrist was running high, what a coincidence!!!!!!!!!!!

This not uncommon come feature time in all classes

we all know they do it - aint like ya cant see the tire and adapt you corner line accordingly ---just wondering if they plan on qualifying Lates & A mods all year??

no they were all on the bottom before the yellow and Zorbrist moved the tire on 2 consecitive laps before the yellow if i were the 7 car i would be pissed. put up an inside wall problems solved. but it has not changed in 55 years so why expect it now?

The tire wasnt moved enough too tell from the stands!!! Then they pushed it out over five feet. U could see the entire impression from where it was. If the 78 moved it put it back where it was, not a new location!!!

oh i agree, that tire should not been moved out like that. it reminded me of the summer nationals race there when pierce was on the bottom and pulling away and they did the same thing taking his line away too. i sit down in turn 4 it amazes me how that tire is nudged 6 inches at a time all the time.

They had a great two grove track last night until they felt the need to move the middle tire out. Which was never pushed in by any car, anyone with a set of eyes knows that you cannot nudge the center tire in with a car and not have major damage. The promoter must not like two grove racing. It blows my mind that they cannot find a way to keep track of exactly where the tires go every week? I can find my house with gps but you cant keep track of 6 tires in a 3 acre circle? The fans were seeing a great race until Mr. Kuhn decided to make the call to push the tires out (only in one corner) and make the track one dimensional. Its no wonder why people bad mouth highland. Its sad really, its a great place to watch and race.

when i go to highland again i am going to set up my camera so all of you can see how much this happen's. that tire is it by the left front corner of the nose of the car. to say it's not happening is stupid when people in the stands can see it! the tires should be staked down.

this is my opinon and if I pizz some of ya off GOOD ----I been doing this shi* since befor most ya alls been born - most opening night tracks are krap but not last night -- for the most part the track was super - a few flea bites but for the most part very good -- looks to me like if ya all aint got nutin ta B-ATCH bout ya aint happy -- take the B Mod feature --James C was right there for the better part of the race -- one blip by Robby and the result might have been different ---like I said JMO -- be happy that the fair board keeps tha joint open--- ya I know "SHUT UP OLD MAN" well make me ---

Its said quite often, "be happy you have a place to race." While i do agree to this sentiment, its also total crap. The race track should also be happy they have racers that come to their track. Stunts like the tire ordeal are not uncommon at that establishment. I say to hell with just being thankful with their being a race track. MAYBE if tracks stopped favoring certain drivers, MAYBE they would have bigger car counts and more butts in seats. Sometimes the tracks and promoters need to be put in their place. And sometimes they need to be grateful ppl still show up when they pull obvious scams to benefit certain drivers or teams.

This isnt directed only at Highland Speedway. This happens at multiple tracks in the area. Maybe race tracks and promoters need to rethink the way they do things. But what do i know, ive only been a part of dirt racing my entire life
