My concern is not about the calls on the track, it is about Charlie's complete disregard of the safety of the driver's and and their crews on and off the track.
We had a crew member fall from the top of a trailer and not once did we hear from or see Charlie. My original post came after leaving the ER at 2:00am and being a bit fired up about the situation.

There Was More Cars On The Track Than Freakin Lightning Mcqueen!! I've Noticed Several Opinionated Comments All Year And That Is Wrong !! You'd feel real funny if that happened, wouldn't you? Someone come in with more money, knowhow, and more willing to work with other people, and replace the current crew.

If you feel this way about the Unterbrinks I guess you have the right to your own opinion but my opinion is Steven Unterbrink (4s) qualified in the first position one week ago at Highland on top of Korte, M. Faust, Zobrist, the list goes on...... In my opinion that is saying something for yourself. Steven has come a long way in my eyes over the last few years. Keep up the good work Steven and as far as his Father Bruce (14u) he has been an awesome competitor for years....Bruce recently had a bad crash at Tri-City and has worked very hard over the last couple weeks to get his car back together....Give him some time to get the car back together and Ill bet you he will be up there running as good as usual. The Unterbrinks have been working very closely with Shannon Babb and that says alot if a high profile driver like Shannon is willing to stop and help these guys also says something about them in my opinion. My hats off to the Unterbrinks......

I think everyone has forgotten what this post is about, BERGSTNER started this post complaining about Charlie. You say that Charlie has a disregard for saftey, well if you had a crew member fall from the top of a trailer then you must not have any railings around where the crew stands. So who has a disregard for saftey? If you are blaming Charlie for your crewmenber that fell, then who will blame Charlie for the next unsafe act, do youexpect Charlie to hold your hand like a child?

Sure, Steven can make 1 good lap by himself, but then he comes out in the heat race and spins himself out in front of the pack and then intentionally drives through 3 different cars to get back into the transfer spot.
And as for Shannon Babb helping these guys out, for the right amount of money, you could get Babb, Moyer, Bloomquist, or any other high profile driver to come out and set your car up for you. It says absolutely nothing about Shannon's opinion of these guys' driving, race program, or anything else, just their checkbook.

Thunder79, If you dont like the Unterbrinks that is fine. They have every right to be on the racetrack as any other drivers. They work hard on there racecars everyweek. My dad busts his but on those cars. Maybe you need to go out to Bruces house and find out what hard work is. I went out on a Saturday and put most of the sheetmetal back on when Rick Rhodes ran into Bruce 2 weeks ago at Granite City.
sstockboy, Shannon has been working with Bruce and he will have a new car in a few weeks. There is no $$ involved. Unless you know the whole story shut your mouth about it. When Shannon started racing Late Models along time ago Bruce helped him out a little bit with parts and some other things.

I watched Brett Korves in the # 25 modified move from tenth place to fourth running the same line that Brian ran in the feature. I think Werner was the only car of the six he passed that broke down. Apparently the line to pass was at the top if anyone wanted to take the risk. If you noticed, all of the top four finishers were running the top.skippy who did brian pass.. he started in the front... and werner broke ealry... maybe you were drunk.

I know the Unterbrinks personally and I know for a fact that there is no money involved in the Babb - Unternrink conection. Its called paying a favor back to a FRIEND. These guys bust their tails week in and week out to do their very best on the track. Like Nic Lampe stated his Dad has worked with Bruce for years and Steven is still a new comer only racing for a couple years now.....DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO NOT EVER HAVE A MISHAP AND BE A FRONT RUNNER LIKE KORTE, FAUST, ETC?????????? Come on gimme a break....everyone has to learn from experience. If you think you could do any better how about you go to the Unterbrinks yourself one night and tell them face to face what you think about them and if they would allow you to run a lap or two and see how you do. Id like to be there to see that one. So until you can step up and tell the Unterbrinks in person that they need not be on the track for what ever reason.....I think you should waste your time elsewhere and quit bashing hard working racers who are in it for the sport and not in it to just make money. Heck just one of their race cars has more in it than what you make in a year id bet. So to close, like Nic Lampe stated I wont hide who I am, My name is Jereme Harlan and this is how I feel about this whole post you made......If you wanna talk the talk about them.....how about making it face to face. One more thing I forgot to mention...have you looked lately at the point standings for Highland????? As of May 12th Steven Unterbrink was running in the 4TH spot in points! Bruce does not run every Saturday at Highland and is still in the 15th spot.....I guess they did that on qualifying laps when they are out there by themselves though right????? Didnt think so. I think we have proven our point about the Unterbrinks....Keep up the great job to the 4s and 14u drivers and crew.
