Hoosier Tire Midwest, Inc. and Monsters of Midwest Tour details are released.
Hoosier Tire and Midwest Motorsports Marketing have partnered for the 2014 season putting Hoosier Tire back in the spotlight in Karting and Quarter Midget racing in the Midwest.
Four huge Karting events were added to an already stellar Monsters of the Midwest Tour. Events include May 17th at the super speedway Ben Hur, May 31st at the highly anticipated Paducah International Raceway, August 16th at Shimek Speedway Go-Kart Track Farmington, Ia., and concluding at HBR Raceway on September 6th. $1000.00 purse for the Adult Pro Clone 380 (*15 kart min or 100% payback), $250.00 contingency for the feature winner in the Adult Clone 400, UAS Opens, and 500cc Wing Sprints if they pick up their feature win on 4 corner Hoosier Tires.(No kart minimum) And JR1 and JR3 Pro Clone have a 4 race series in which each event has a $50.00 to win, $25.00 for second, and $10.00 for third, and has no entry fee. The driver in the JR1 and JR3 classes that has the most points will receive a Hoosier Tire Champions jacket. All this is in addition to the Monsters of the Midwest tour classes that has something to offer for not only National Traveling teams but the local every Friday and Saturday night racers.
Quarter Midgets will also share the spotlight on the tour. For the first time in history there will be a series of events for Quarter Midgets that is paying large cash payouts. The Grands3 will be two events that will have $1000.00 purse for Jr Honda, Sr Honda, and Lite160's at each event.(20 car min or 100% payback). Paducah International Raceway on May 31st, and Macon Speedway on August 3rd will host these ground breaking events.
In addition to these two shows one more event at Paducah International Raceway on July 19th will make up a 3 race Triple Crown series. Points will be kept based on finishing position in the feature and passing points. All classes will be combined into one points structure. The champion will receive a $250.00 gift card, second will receive a $100.00 gift card, third a $50.00 gift card, and fourth and fifth a $25.00 gift card. Driver must run all 3 events to be eligible. All quarter midget events on the Monsters of the Midwest tour will be ran under a 4 corner Hoosier Tire rule.
