How did the rules get set and approved?

Actually, Bob, I was REALLY thinking about it. Are there any regulations to becoming President?
Age? Sex? From a certain track?
I know you don't have to actually race, right?
I don't like to see someone win because they went unopposed. COUNT ME IN!!!!! Where do I sign up? Maybe myself and Pitdrifter can run for P and VP!!!
That just might be what is needed, President and V.P. that are not affiliated with a particular driver/ team. Another benefit would be having someone on the outside looking at things with a different perspective. Jon

Thanks Jon, just the answer I was looking for, before accepting
the job of campaign manager :D :D :D

What about just having one region instead of a north and south ? If that was so I would say to look into Duckhunter for pres., he has done alot for the rams.

Thanks!

So, Jon, do I have your vote???? I'm counting on ya. :D Are you still gonna be a RAMS member in 2005? Still gonna be racing or are ya moving up to the modified?

Yep

What is a vote worth$$$$$$$$$ Just kidding, heres the deal. Lets get you and Dave to debate the issues, then I'll decide :) Just so everyone knows, I do not agree with Dave on everything but that does not mean I dislike him. I really would like to see the orginization grow, but its time to move on.

Bill, I had decided to let all this go because I just want to race but I couldn't let your stupidity pass. Bill it's kind of funny you have all the answers but haven't been to any meetings to know what the questions are.

HAHAHA, yeah Bill, why haven't you ever shown up to any of the meetings?
Duckdog, you're killing me. :D

If you would have been at the meeting before last you would know we talked in length about our rules and how it affected the Doe Run Mini Stocks.

I was out of town for the last two meetings and what effect does the RAMS rules have on Doe Run? I'll be running Doe Run and if I'm still within RAMS rules I'll run some RAMS races, if not I'll still be running Doe Run every week.

I believe the rules aren't specific enough and that leads to all the bickering about who's cheating and who isn't. We need to go through this every year to look at the rules and determine if something could be changed to better the class. I felt that the 2005 rules were rushed through without reguard to anything we had discussed at the previous meeting.

Going over rules is fine but every year someone is trying to open the rules up more and more. That's what I don't agree with.

I did not take for granite that I had a vote in the decision making and the way this was all handled I didn't get a chance. I'm pretty sure at the last meeting no new officers were elected it was for nominations so before you spout off you should know what your talking about. I have stated previously that I just wan't to race and I don't need all the drama therefore I will not join the RAMS next year.

I put Elections but I ment Nominations so you got me there..I goofed. And you're right I wasn't at the last couple meeting the same as you but there's one difference between the two of us......I wasn't there so I'm not griping about what happened in those meetings....you are and are ready to quit. But I'm like you, I don't want the drama and just want to race and that's another reason you haven't seen me as much. I by no means have all the answers but I know whining and threating to quit doesn't accomplish much. State your upset then lets fix it or just quit and move on...

Anyways I'm done with this and moving on...if you still have a problem just send me a PM. We don't have to agree on everything...it's all good :D

Yes I seriously thought about being President but with all the talk about how much work the southern portion needs I think someone from down there would work better. Just for the reason of meeting with track promoters, having meetings with drivers/members, it would be best if it went to someone down there.
I feel the same as duckdog AND wheel, I just want to race and have fun!
The MCS area is going to be a goldmine for ministocks. No other track close by has them yet, New entry level class, Fun as Heii. I know of 11 cars off the top of my "bald" head right now that will be racing next year. That is not counting cars others I dont know about.
Kenny thanks for the complement. I have worked pretty hard trying to get cars for the RAMS, trust me I see somethings from both sides that I like AND dislike. I really would like to have one set of rules also but we seem to be running out of time. Just think how cool it would be to have 25-28 cars on any given night. Oh kind of like Pevely. Do you think Mel would like that???
But again it seems the real problem lyes between getting DRR and the RAMS to work side by side. I cant say that I would really ever race at DRR because of the drive but it would be nice to know we have several tracks to pick from should we ever need it.
kenny you have alot of good points, I think we all just need to be adults and hash this thing out! We could really put the state of Missouri on the map for ministock racing. With enough sponsors for a large payout we could have tons of new vehicles being built. Good enought to attract companies like dirtworks or something like that. Ever think about having a dirtworks ministock? It could happen, I mean Gladiator chassis is wanting to start building them. It would be alot easier for them to build if we all had one set of rules thats for sure! This is all just food for thought!
