So, they add five laps to the feature of any class with fewer than six cars. Since the shortest feature on their agenda is slated to run 15 laps, that means they would run a 20 lap feature for a four or five car class. I bet those are really entertaining races after about the half way point when the cars start to spread out.

You have to wonder what the motive is for having 10 classes, including three classes of motorcycle engine powered modifieds. Do they simply want to have a bunch of happy feature winners, or are the purses based on car count, so if they sub-divide classes to the point where there's only 4-5 in each division, they only have to pay $50 or $75 to win?

interestin,,2bbl crate lates, put emods on em and ya got a sportsman.....years ago i went to dixi speedway near atlanta and the ran their classes in order, heats, dashes, consies and features, each class ran their complete show then packed up and went home

The late models at Dixie hot lap, qualify, and run their feature for weekly shows. I think the only class that runs heats are limited lates(6 laps). Everyone else hot laps and runs their feature all for $13.00 general admission. Classes that run weekly are: super lates, limited lates, sportsman(crates), super bomber, econo bomber, pony cars(4 bangers), and cruisers. Usually, I only hit the big shows there.
