DOE RUN, MO--Dave Huffman returned to victory lane after winning the 15 lap Dwaf car main event at Doe Run Raceway this past Friday night.
Mike Zaricor jumped out in front at the green and looked to be on his way to a win, until spinning on the 9th lap and being moved to the rear of the field. Bill Beard then took the point, leading the 10th lap when Huffman made his move to the front. Beard had to settle for second, Matt Dotson third, Brad Paquet fourth and Wayne Arnold fifth. Zaricor won the first heat, Beard second and Huffman third. Former kart racer Wayne Arnold carried the checkered flag in the second heat, Dotson second and Paquet third.
Landon Barks was two for two in the stock kart class, winning both his heat race and the main event. Scottie Gretzmacher crossed the line behind Barks in the feature event, Jesse Wright third, Braydon Wright fourth and Maggie Almon fifth. Amber Bayless picked up a second place finish in the heat race, Braydon Wright third.
In the Mini Stock main event, Shannon Burch led all 15 laps to earn another victory for the 2005 season. Dave Wofford Jr. finished second, Marty Boyer third, CJ Wright fourth and Butch Hartman fifth. Ron Moser won the first heat, Wofford second and Wright third. Burch won the second heat, Brian McGee second and Hartman third.
Joey Boyd led all 20 laps of the 600cc main event to earn another first place finish. Rounding out the top five were Casey Barnhouse, Dustin Barks, Tony Roney and Matt Dotson. Nathan Faenger won the first heat, Dotson second and Roney third. Boyd won the second heat, Barnhouse second and Thomas Chandler third.
