I-44 Speedway Back Into Action

Lebanon,Mo.-The Highbanks of the I-44 Speedway will be looking over the rainbows left from the previous last 2 weeks rainouts as they swing back into action this Sat.Night.

With car counts over the 110 mark after the first 2 nights,current LateModel Point leader Jason Bodenhamer is expected to be heading the pack-up against another strong field of LateModels as they go for 1,000 to win the 25 lap feature event.

Defending IMCA National LateModel champion Justin Wells stole one away from the" Hammer" over 2 weeks ago,and last seasons points runner-up Dave Ware is looking to get into the swing of things as he rides second in the points standings tied with Rookie Brandon Maggard as 1988 champion Darrell Mooneyham and Lebanon Rookie Brian Schutt roundout the top 5.

With the MARS LateModels Series off this weekend,there is no telling who might drop in for a visit as the LateModel count has averaged over 20 cars the first two nights.

Defending Modified Champion Erik Maggard holds a slim lead over Eric Hudson of Rolla,as Camdenton's James Hartman holds third after his first victory two weeks ago.Lebanon's Jamie Ragland is working the new car blues out and is holding in the top 5.

Larry Prewitt is the only driver to repeat early this season in the SuperStock class as several drivers are getting there cars finished and getting on track.
14 year old FactoryStock Rookie Micheal Maggard is leading the pack over a very strong field of cars as Rookie Lake Mooneyham holds second.Tim Brown's car has won the first 2 features with 2 different drivers,while former driver and master mechanic Ed Schutt of Richland hold a strong third as defending champion Quintin Day of Lebanon has the family StationWagon running fourth.

Only 9 points separate the top 6 in the Bomber class as Richard Weber sits atop of the standings while KC Prettyman rides close behind and opening night winner David Hendrix is third,while Lebanon drivers Brandon Knudtson,Derrick Peterson,Lonnie Henderson,Donnie Jackson,and feature winner Dusty Rhoades occupy the next spots.

This week, the area Pro-4's are scheduled to make there first appearance of the season as the Sprint Cars will be back into action next weekend.
Gates open at 5,with hotlap at 7 and racing at 7:30 sharp on this Mothers Day Weekend.
