I-44 Speedway set for 2004 season!

(Lebanon, MO) -- The high-banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway is set for its second season on the clay oval with another season of strong weekly shows mixed in with special events throughout the season.

The season will get underway with 2 Sat evening practice sessions starting on March 20&27 starting at 6PM both days and lasting until about 9PM. This will give the drivers and fans a true feel for the upcoming season under the lights on the surface after many hours have been spent on the tracks surface during the off season and the drivers should see the difference.

The season long points battle will begin on Sat. Night April 3rd as the High-powered LateModels, Modifieds, SuperStocks, FactoryStocks and Bombers will be racing all season long.Also running this season on a rotating schedule will be the Midwest Limited Sprint Cars.These Winged Warriors became a fan favorite last season in a limited schedule.

The O'Reilly AutoParts MARS Series with the Midwest and Nations Top Dirttrack drivers will pay 3 visits this season to the 3/8ths mile clay oval as they will make there first visit on May 1 along with the Modifieds,Superstocks,FactoryStocks and Bombers.
Then 3 time Series Champion Bill Frye,2000 Champ Terry Phillips,along with the Mars Cars-N-Stars will make there second visit to Lebanon on July 17th along with the normal classes,and the Fans Favorite Series will help close the I-44 Speedway's season with the running of the 2nd Annual Bill Willard Memorial big 2 day show on Sept.24,and 25th with the lateModel feature winner collects 10,000 to win.This race last season attracted over 160 cars in all classes.

Always a crowd favorite, the Big Fireworks Special will be held on July 3.Last season Dennis & Betty Elmore's Quality Heating and Cooling provided the Area with a great night of Racing and a Big Fireworks Special.

The Popular United State Modified Touring Series will make a stop at the track on June 19th along with the normal classes.These high-powered Modifeds will feature the strong local runners going against the traveling pros as drivers from as many as 7 States will be on hand for that evenings events.

The season championships are set for Sept.18 as the 2004 champions will be crowned that evening as the track will be completing its second season on the clay.

Defending Champions from the 2003 Season are Brad Loney(Late Models),Erik Maggard(Modifieds),Mike Joplin (SuperStocks),Quintin Day (FactoryStocks),and Gary Klossner(Bombers).
