We had rain all around us last night but we were able to get the Nickel Race in and it was huge. A big crowd showed up and hundreds of kids grabbed over $1,000 worth of nickels. Some of the real lucky kids took home bikes, scooters, TV's, and all kinds of other electronic goodies.

Super job and a big thanks to Janet, Dorothy, the entire "Nickel Race Crew", and all of you who donated cash and prizes. In a rough economy you guys really came through for the kids!

Thanks also to Mike Woodrum and Chip Marzucco for the trophies and cash handed out to the feature winners.

It was a great night for those that came for the nickel race. Very good crowd, but wish many of them would come weekly. Hope that kids that came and got bigger prizes liked what they took home. Glad it was shorter that in the past.
