Roadie

tellin' it like it is
That track is staying way too wet and the racing is always horrible for the first half of the night. There wasn't any passing until it started to dry out in the feature.

i would say that it was a great track besides the holes coming out of two

as they like to say "bad fast"

When you start booking track prep and promoter courses !!!

Track was great, fast 3 -4 lanes 1 or 2 ruts this early in the year not bad.

the late mods were all in one groove on the bottom throughout the heats. if you pull a bad number, you had little chance of moving up (or even making the show for some)

Quite a few cars got torn up. Turn one and two just stayed to wet, to deep. I am sure it is hard to judge the exact amount of water to put on the track when the temp, humidity, and the amount of sun the track will get after water is applied. At least we got to race. It was a fun night even though the car took a little beating.

hey roadie im sure if you ask ray he will let you water it. then we can see if your any better!!! which im sure you have no clue on what you are doing!!!

There was actually quite a bit of passing in the late model heats. Are you sure you was watching the same races I was?

if ray and crew would have went the other way, and not watered it so much, the moron who started this poll would be hollering about dry, dusty slick track conditions. i would like to see this guy do track prep, so all of us could start a poll about what a crummy job this guy does. like the hound said, with it so cold last night, what did he expect? art.

Ray Did Something To The Track, It Sure Wasn't Like This On Playday! I Don't Want To Hear Anything About The Snow B/c It Rained A Lot More B-4 Playday.

Thanks,

Wang!

Like I have said before, you can't please them all.

My opinion only, but I wait a couple weeks before I head to the races so the drivers and track crews can get back in the swing of things again. Alot of the drivers don't want to mess up their rides to early in the season either, which I don't blame them. Let them drivers get used to one another again and then we will have good racing. Also give the track crew a break, it would sure beat paying $12 at a track that is worse than I-55.

The only bad part about the track were the ruts. The same thing happened when the outlaw late models were in town last year and we got all that precipitation earlier in the week. Just seems like the weather early last week probably had something to do with it. Great racing ALL night.

And for the guy who said something about the playday having the same weather before it........i believe the track had a lot more horsepower on it opening night than it did during playday not to mention a ton more laps.

I Personally Would Like To See Less Water. Big Ruts Are A Product Of Heavy Tracks. The Racing Was Exciting For The Most Part. Kinda In The Same Way Talladega Is Exciting. Just Waiting On That Big Crash(Such As The Sellers Roll). I Felt For The Modified Guys. 12 Cars Were On The Track When The Checkered Flew. Several Of The 12 That Didn't Finish Simply Pulled In To Save Their Equiptment. I'd Like To See It Slick And Smooth. Much Easier On Equiptment. The Racing Would Be Better.

I'd Like To See The Premadonnas Race On Those Same Track Conditions This Weekend!

Well said pitdrifter, my thoughts exactly...

Has anyone taken into consideration the fact of the temperatures, moisture, and the fact that that was the first RACE of the season, could account for it?

I enjoyed the races...yes, turn 2 was rough, but come summer, people will be griping about the dust. The very same ones that b!tch that Ray uses too much water.

Be glad you have a high quality, Saturday night track that attracts the best in the Midwest on a regular basis, and is close to home. I know I am.
