I think i got screwed at I55 sat. night

Personally I don't think it is his old car, but not to be ignorant, what is the big deal?

Lisa, This is Brad Sr., the tempo uses a pushrod type 2.3, and the Mustang uses the overhead cam 2.3. Typically....., the o.h.c. will rev higher than the older pushrod style motor. Don't know how much difference there is in the HP specs between both motors, but, there were almost no STOCK performance mods for the tempo, and MANY for the mustang. Our tempo is having trouble revving high enough in one gear, or pulling hard enough in the next. (i.e. we don't have the right gear. Hard to fix in a front wheel drive, easier in a rear wheel (mustang). IF, he ever gets the win, I will be HAPPY to let them tear this thing down! We are using STOCK parts ONLY! ( I can't afford the good stuff!) Also, his driving sat. nite was excellent, he made almost 0 contact with anyone else, the car performed very well considering the thrashing needed to get it back together between our heat & feature, and before the stock clutch went out he put on a good show for those of us who were watching. IF....he had been allowed to start 3rd row inside as he was supposed to, (instead of 17th, last), who knows. O well, maybe our next run will be better. See ya next time, Brad (Sr.)

I know for a fact that it was Dave's old neon. When that car came to the track last week for the first time so did Dave and his wife. They sat right by us. Nathan is right about the cage, window screen, and tach placement being the same... and same wheels and tires!

Question

IM NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE OR START ANYTHING, BUT IF THE #88 PRO 4 IS DAVE'S OLD CAR, IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT? I DON'T SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. MAYBE IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE DAVE & HIS WIFE WAS THERE. IS THERE A REASON WHY #88 SHOULDN'T BE RACING THE FORMER #21? THAT'S J/M/O!! NOT TRYING TO START A BIG ARGUMENT OVER IT, I WAS JUST WONDERING. MAYBE HE TALKED TO DAVE H. AND GOT SOME IDEAS ON HOW TO DO HIS CAR, TALKING ABOUT THE ROLE CAGE, DESIGN, ETC.

AGAIN, THAT'S JUST MY OPINION:cool:

Thanks Brad- I had no idea on the difference. And my Ford man was unavailable LOL!!! And I do have to agree with you his driving was excellent. The markers he passed showed that. Can't wait for his first win and it should be soon. Keep plugging at it ....
