You read one comment on facebook and it turns into everybody was mad. Thats the way it is and always been. If your a driver and upset, well it happens. You would be the same pissed off fan bitching cause you never got to see a feature and they took your money. Get real!

I wasn't there.. I could be like half the other people on here and lie my rear off and say I was.. The way a couple mod drivers on Facebook was complaining I thought I would have enough balls to ask on here and get a straight up answer.. Since jimmy gave me the answer you haven't heard me say a negative thing about it.. I promote every track around here every chance I get.. I will call a spade a spade.. I'm not going to hide what I think. I asked the question to get an answer.. Now maybe these unhappy drivers will see this post and see it from everyone's point of view.. That's what this site is about right? We could have not said anything and let people bash pevely all week on Facebook etc...but now hopefully this will be laid to rest... That's how you resolve problems is to discuss them.. Why does everything have to become so personal? People bashing other people.. Grow up and enjoy a discussion or a debate without getting attacked by someone that does not agree with your opinion.. I love tri city and I'm at every big race they have especially mods...but I made a comment the other night about track conditions being awful.. Does that make me not want to go back?? Heck no, I will be there in a couple weeks.. It's just a opinion and nothing more.. Lets stop attacking people and show a little more respect.. We are all here for the same thing.. We love racing. This site I find very informative that's why I always post or look every day at least 5-10 times.. Some people on this site sometimes reminds me of our government and just looking for a fight and disagreement. I will say if my post upset anyone I'm sorry.. It was never intended that way.. Just wanted to know the facts since I WAS NOT THERE...
 
Why park the haulers on the infield when weather is nearby? It would have rained out either way, but the show might have gotten further along if the others were parked outside. I've seen them do this in the past, hopefully they'll do it again next time there is rain close.
 
There was MAYBE three minutes between when they called it and the start of the rain. They tried, and mama nature said no. Someone should go complain to her.

I live a few minutes from the track and there was no inclination of rain all afternoon. It literally appeared and dropped directly south. Nobody saw it coming until we saw the clouds rolling over turn 4.
 
We were there and decided to load up because u could see it was not going to miss us. We pulled out of the infield and it was raining before we got to the pit shack. Good call in my opinion we've been rained on before and it's not fun.

Was watching radar all afternoon, it was coming!
 
I was the one that stated the fact that I thought the show was drug out so we would not get to the point of double features at a later date and I still stand by that opinion when there is a chance of rain you either hustle up or drag your feet hoping it comes sooner an I felt they were dragging over watered then couldn't get it run in we started about 15-20 min late as you can see when results started being posted on this thread then if there was a situation where can we go this time or make another lap we were making extra laps yes I was not happy with what happened but I know the stands where empty so I understand why they did it but not doing the double features takes away from drivers pay for the night and pay in points fund for national points not going to argue with anyone over this just giving my point of view see you all next week
 
So next week we will not run double features? We basically just get a free pit pass out of last night and start over next week?

I understand what your saying but how many tracks or race nights that all heats,dashes and consis would have been done by 8 15 and heck you could see the storms coming in and it wasn't a spot shower either
 
I'm a driver and I wasn't upset. It was handled well in my opinion in order to get everyone out of the infield. There were plenty of races left and no way they dragged the show out enough to make up for the time it takes to run another heat, 2 dashes and a mod semi.

All this talk about the poor drivers....the track invested a lot as well and I'm sure lost money by the time you pay workers and prep the track.

It's a no win situation for everyone involved.
 
Rusty, I like watching you race, but between here and Facebook, you are really sounding like a crybaby.

Even if the track wasn't rushing the show along to beat the rain, they weren't going to get the show in. They would have to deal with fans complaining that they didn't get to see the features and don't get to use a rain check. Just check out Highland's page for proof of that. - - James Delgado..
 
Track prep took longer because they couldn't get it worked in due to alittle over watering on the top.
