is it just a rumor i hope not

i heard they r going to take intakes off the bmod to check for roller cams finally

I don't see any reason to have to pull an intake to look for a roller cam. These motor rules are designed to stop that nonsence of pulling a motor down at the track. The worst thing the B-mods should have to do is remove 1 rocker arm and pull 1 push rod to check them for length. The rumor I have heard is they are going to check carbs, fuel, cams, and transmissions.

They should have a scope... Then even if they did have to LOOK, they could go through the distributor hole or pushrod hole if the scope is small enough. But like Kenny stated, there are other ways to check them for that...do the math.

If they are teching why in the world would the tech guy even mention it to somebody so they could tell anybody to start a rumor? Give plenty of time for everybody to get legal? Does not make sense.

kenny i hope so i just like to see something else going to wear carb out im tired of hearing this guy got this and this guy got this if ur winning ur cheating but if they check the stuff you cant run then nobody can say this guy cheating

Our roller cam uses shorter pushrods, not longer, but it is a significant difference. If you pull the pushrod out, it is easy to look down the hole at the lifter and see if it is a roller or not. If you dont know what I mean, you have apperantly never had a roller motor. The cam is really the only thing within the motor that you could be cheating with in the b-mods and it doesnt make sense to pull them down to check that.
I have a borescope that I would be happy to loan the tech guys if they wanted to use it.

Honestly, they need to start by making some of the guys with obvious stuff fix their cars first. Several mods are running the wheel covers on all 4 wheels when the rule book says only 1, it is a silly rule, but a rule none the less. The tires are supposed to be the widest part of the car, and how many have the LR tucked up underneath the quarter panel?
I dont really care what these guys have, we come up to play around and have a little fun, but if the track wants to follow the rules, lets follow all of them.

push rod length has nothing to do with what cam you have , length is for rocker arm geometry, valve stem length and so on if its shorter then stock then u have issues. as far as to tell if it a roller you can pull a lifter out or bore scope through the drain plug or distributor hole but u have to pull a lifter without having a bore scope, u just cant look through push rod hole! as far as tire in side the body maybe the wheel offset is different than yours, the body can be 68" wide at most any track. if they pull intakes wait till last nite so its one last thing i have to take apart to freshen mike savages motor lol! his crank$169autozone his rods $105 jrmotorsports his pistons $25 auction cam$ 79 scp elgin heads $215 ebay ,labor $checkered flags and a load of fire wood lol!hard to beat talent and some times we all run out of it-BRIAN W.

I have talked to Cory and Wheel covers on all 4 wheels IS LEGAL no RF beadlock.

You are correct Brian, pushrod length depends on many factors, none of which include roller or flat tappet. I was just saying on OUR roller, th pushrods are shorter than stock, basically throwing out the window using that as a determining factor.
As for being able to tell by looking thru a pushrod hole, you can see the crossbar from the top side.
