Is that my tire?

I don't understand why I-55 allows people to stand along turns 1&2. The man next to the Valvoline sign appears to have no clue there is a tire 8 feet above his head and coming his way. And look at the condition of the fence.

Stupid is that stupid does.

They do not allow people to stand up at the fence. They are running people away from the fence at every race during the entire race. But as soon as they clear the fence of people and go on to check other things the people always come back. So I think the real thing everyone should remember is we are all adults and should know not to stand right up at the fence with cars roaring around it. You wouldn't go stand in the middle of the interstate with cars coming at you why would you ever stand right up at the fence with cars racing?????

Perhaps they should cover the bottom third with black plastic or wood or something you can't see around or through. Then people won't have a reason to stand there.

put some metal fence posts and orange plastic fencing to keep people away, works at montgomery.

The people are right up on the wall. The billboards are 3-4 ft off the wall and there are barriers that keep people from moving up past the billboards. The people are back even with the billboards...

Personal responsibility! Pretty soon we will watch everything inside of a cage because we want protected from everything and don't want to be responsible for our own actions. If you run a stop sign and get in a wreck, is it someone else's fault because there wasn't a crossing gate at the intersection?

It's not a desire of protection, it's liability. Unfortunately that is the rendering of a greed driven society.
