Bardstown, KY-July 10-Bluegrass Speedway, located outside of beautiful and historic Bardstown, KY, will present the 3rd Annual Topless Terror night this Saturday night, July 16.

The event will highlight the Late Model and Modified divisions, with the twist being the cars will sport the convertible look as the racers will take the tops off the cars and race topless, much the way the Late Models of the early 1980's raced. It also gives the race fans a good shot of watching the drivers at work in their "office", behind the wheel. The Sportsman and Street Stock divisions will also be in action, with payouts for the night being $1,000 for Late Models, $500 for Modifieds, $200 for Sportsman, and $100 to win for Street Stocks. The Late Model and Modified divisions will take time trials, while the Sportsman and Street Stock divisions will line up their heats via the pill draw.

Activities for this July 16 event will see pit gates will open at 4:00, with main gates opening at 5:00. The driver's meeting will be at 6:00, hot laps at 6:30, time trials at 7:00, with racing set to take the green flag at or before 8:00. All times are EDT. Adult general admission is $10, with children ages 6 to 12 being $5, children under age 6 are free, and pit passes will be $20.

Bluegrass Speedway is once again associated with the Contingency Connection program in 2005, with drivers eligible for over $50,000 in posted contingency prizes if they participate in the program and also make themselves eligible for the season ending Mr. Gasket awards program. Also an added incentive, drivers can now be eligible for the JE Pro Seal Rings Sportsman of the Year program. Contingency Connection winners from July 9 included Joey Daniel of Liberty, KY and Sam Huffer of Elizabethtown, KY.

Bluegrass Speedway last raced on July 9 and winners for that evening included Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN in Late Models, Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN in Modifieds, and Danny Blackwell of Taylorsville, KY in Sportsman, while the Street Stocks had the night off.

Current track championship division point leader are Joey Daniel of Liberty, KY in Late Models, Jason Wheatley of Loretto, KY in Modifieds, Danny Blackwell of Taylorsville, KY in Sportsman, and Willie Edelen of Bardstown, KY in Street Stocks.

Bluegrass Speedway is owned by Charles Hamilton and promoted by David and Anita Ferrell. Racing takes place on Saturday nights from mid-April through the end of September.
