My son, Jake said that a few folks wanted to know how I was this morning...since I got a bit banged up in the Feature. First let me say, I'm sorry for holding up the race, while they got me outta my car. I know it's no fun to sit there waiting to get the show going again.

I'm not real clear on exactly what happened...brain got jarred a little bit too! From what I was told, I got spun by one car and another one wiped out my whole drivers side pretty much. All I know is I got nailed pretty good and the next thing I know I was rolling into the inside wall. I do know that when I got hit, my left hand came loose from the wheel and slammed into the roll cage. And my right arm got bruised from hitting the side of my seat. The paramedics thought I had broken my wrist possibly. They wanted to take me to Jeff. Mem. for xrays...please not ther...anywhere but there...LOL But I figured I wait to see how it was this morning, before I made the decision to run to a hospital. (I hate those places). I still don't think anything is broken, but it is bruised and swelled up pretty good (makes typing a tough thing to do one handed..lol) Right now I have a temp.. removable cast on it, just to be safe. But in a day or two, I'll be fine I hope.

Even if it was broken, I'm still gonna be back out there next weekend. Ya can't keep an ol' gal like me down as long as my car is runnin' ! My car may not be as pretty & new as it was...but by-God if it runs...I'll be out there. It's not a beauty contest out there.

I want to thank everyone including my family (who was all out on the track, and couldn't do anything to help me) for all the kindness and concern you all showed me. And a BIG thanks to the paramedics who helped me get out of the car and back to the outside pits. You guys ROCK!:D

And as for 2 fellas who wanted to be my knights in shining armor, and go find out who wrecked me...thanks for trying to be protective of me. You know who you are and big ((HUGS))) to you!...thanks...but I'm a big girl, I can handle things...I think.
Again...thanks for the concern, but I WILL BE THERE NEXT WEEKEND!!!;)

I didnt get to see the wreck, just the aftermath. Ouch. Glad you are ok. I always get a little nervous when i see the ambulance come out. Hope to see you next week.

Happy your alright Mom... its one of the hardest thing to see your family member in the wall with an ambulance around it and there is nohing you can do. If you would have been pulled on a stretcher, all of us would have pitted... we can have our mama hurt like that.. your worth a couple of points :) But hey.. were still tied..i think :)

Thanks all!

Thanks for the concern...but I'm a tough cookie! Can't wait to get back out there with all of ya! ((HUGS)) to ya all!;)

Hey Momma, just got in from work and read all this. First off glad you are ok. You've got alot of heart for racing. I can tell by your drive to get back out next week even if the wrist turns out to be broken. Spoken like a TRUE racer. Just like Jess said, we ALL, including myself would've pitted if we'd seen a stretcher. Since we were under the red flag I almost unstrapped and got outta the car to see if you were ok before continuing the race. I was worried. If you need any help at all during the day, you know how to get ahold of me. Night Momma!!!
