Thanks for the plug Jimmy. Just to set the record straight, Jake Croxton is our race director at Jacksonville and a very important part of our team... but Jake isn't a part of the 'official' group. Mike Wankel is the third member of our partnership at Jacksonville and Quincy along with myself (Ken) and Tommy Casson.

It's going to be a busy winter... Comments, questions or concerns about Quincy Raceways are always welcome by phone text or email at 217-371-3653 or kdobson99@gmail.com

I'm glad to hear that the track will be open next year. Any chance we will see more Sprint Car shows? I was there last week for the MOWA show and it looked like a good crowd (but don't know how it compared to their weekly shows).

Also--looking forward the the MOWA/POWRi show at Jacksonville this Friday night--my first trip up there in a few years.
Is there any new news regarding the WoO show for next year? I remember seeing that there was early positive response as far as the sponsor packages went but hadn't heard anything lately. Thanks in advance for any information.

Yes Dan.. the response to our Outlaw show has been very positive and we have had enough commitments to make the show work. This is our week to contact those sponsors that reserved VIP tickets asking that they send in payment so we can make sure that we actually have more checks than promises. Once that is completed over the next several days and we know we are where we need to be on that end, we will start making our general admission tickets available for purchase in about a week.

This Quincy thing pulled our focus away from the Outlaw project for a few days...but it was worth it. Thanks for your support and we will see you Friday night for what promises to be a heck of a show of MOWA 410 Sprints, POWRi midgets and micros and Street Stocks.

It's way too early to say for certain, but generally speaking we don't see many changes to the class structure at Quincy for 2014. At some point we would like to visit with the Late Model drivers individually or as a group to make sure that the drivers remain as committed to the UMP Late Model as they were when they voted for the class a few years ago. Don't read more into it than that... We certainly hope to have UMP Late Models headline the weekly racing events in 2014 as they have over the past several years.

Like every other Late Model track north of Highland and Granite City, we would like to find a way to get more Late Models to the race track and the key to that is to get more people that live within 30 miles of Quincy Illinois driving a late model.
