Marion, Arkansas (09/30/10) – Jan Howard will debut his brand new #46 Howard Motorsports/Brim’s Snack Foods/J&J/Powered By Howard Racing Engine Sprint Car in this weekend’s Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas).
After piloting a few different rides over the first half of the season, Jan will debut his own Sprint Car this weekend at Riverside International Speedway in a pair of Lucas Oil ASCS events. The weekend will see Howard going head-to-head with many of the region’s and nation’s top drivers. On Friday night a $3,000 to win program will be held and on Saturday night a $6,000 to win event is on tap. Last Saturday Jan was back in action in Wade Human's #7 Sprint Car on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in a Weekly Racing Series Event. Twenty-four Sprint Cars entered the event, and after finishing second in his heat race, he started third for the feature. Jan mounted a great run in the feature event by racing his way to a third place finish in the feature behind winner, Joe Young, and Lewis Jenkins Jr.
